You can open the great room windows at night and hear the waves hitting the beach. There is a garden to explore and several lake beaches just a short walk away. The shallow and sandy are ideal for kids: there are plenty of rocks and driftwood to find, and it is a fun place for a night time campfire and swim. We are so excited to join Kid & Coe. Traveling with a large family can be challenging and we love to support an organization who is working to make it easier! Our kids love being outdoors and swimming. Most of our vacations are to our Lake House in northern Wisconsin. We typically spend a month there in the summer and fall. The kids would spend all day playing at the beach if we let them! And in the fall they are out collecting acorns and building forts and raking leaves. We love giving the kids a safe place to to explore the outdoors on their own and that is why we love our little piece of heaven in Ashland, Wisconsin!

Ashland, Wisconsin

Right on the water

In the heart of Lake Superior’s Chequamegon Bay, Ashland is right by the water, with outdoor activities to delight the family year-round. Take glass bottom boat trips to Apostle Island, cycle trails around orchards and lake shores, or walk around the 17 vibrant historical murals, showing off the city’s past. Seasonal events range from summer farmers’ markets to fall festivals and winter snowshoeing and sled dog racing; whatever time of year you visit, you’re sure of a warm welcome.
