This corner apartment, facing the Hudson River and riverside esplanade, is ideal for a family of 4 and is stocked with toys, books and games for kids, not to mention scooters and bikes. It’s a great location, with parks and playgrounds nearby plus an array of tourist attractions including South Street Seaport and the ferry terminals with routes to the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island anc Governor’s Island. You can even see Lady Liberty from the apartment, which has a hard-to-find unobstructed view. We love the bright living space and the large, light-filled bedrooms, all of which have views of trees and the waterfront. It’s easy to get around the city from this point in south Manhattan, with subway routes and a local free bus to help you get around.

What we love

  • Marble bathroom with shower over the tub and a colorful shower curtain
  • Double bedroom with queensize bed, desk and windows on two sides with views of the park and water

Cannot say enough good things about our stay at The West Thames Residence. Gorgeous view of the river, huge windows providing lovely light and the apartment was clean and organized. This place was perfectly supplied with everything we needed. Tons of games, all the kitchen supplies we wanted, comfy beds, and great doormen downstairs. Fanny went above and beyond as far as making us feel comfortable. This felt more like we were staying with a family friend than a rental. If you don't know the neighborhood, Battery Park City is fantastically family friendly. The pub next store was full of board games, ping pong, kids, and had a relaxed atmosphere for everyone. Playgrounds and soccer fields surround. Highly recommend!!

We had a fantastic time at the West Thames Residence. It is a great location with lots of playgrounds close by - and right down at the waterfront of the Hudson. The apartment has everything we needed including lots of toys. Last but not least, Fanny has been a wonderful host, organizing our stay perfectly!

Down at the southwesterly tip of Manhattan, Battery Park City is close to Tribeca and the Financial District and has fantastic views of the Hudson River. It’s a much underrated place to stay, with riverside playgrounds, cycling and jogging tracks with views of Lady Liberty and attractions including South Street Seaport and the Staten Island Ferry.
