The day-to-day residence of a London family with 2 girls, this is well set up for a family stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dining area and there’s a stylish living room and spacious bedrooms. Need to work while you’re away? There’s a garden office tucked away from the house with a double / full bed for summer night sleeping or day lounging.

Why Kids Love it

Kids will love the playroom area in the living area and 1 bedroom, filled with children's toys and books. There’s also a swing set in the garden for outdoor fun. Parents can keep an eye on younger kids as they play on the gated terrace or in the living spaces. It’s a short walk from playgrounds and soft play, as well as short tube or taxi journey to parks, London museums and big-ticket attractions. The 2 kids’ rooms have day beds that can be adapted to a double / full bed use.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 5 nights. A double sofabed in the garden office and a double air bed can sleep up to 4 additional guests. The apartment is safe and secure and is all on 1 floor. There are steps down into the private garden and to the basement utilities that can be gated. Parking is on-street. The hosts will consider guest access to their family car with 2 car seats. A car is not necessary to explore London and there are good public transport links nearby. Please note for those with severe allergies that a family dog is usually resident at this property when it is not being rented.

About the Location

The family residence is in the small conservation area of South Hampstead in northwest London. It is a quiet and residential and a place where you can wake up to bird song in the morning. Central London is only 1 stop away on the tube. The apartment is well connected to trains, tubes and buses to connect you with neighboring districts including Primrose Hill, Hampstead and St Johns Wood, where you’ll find restaurants, cafés and boutiques. Groceries are easy with 4 supermarkets within a 5-minute walk. Heathrow Airport is 1 hour away by taxi or train.

Accommodation Details

This apartment has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms arranged over 1 floor. There is a large open-plan kitchen with a breakfast bar, family dining table and French doors to the south-facing terrace that has outside seating and toys. From here, there are gated stairs to the garden where you’ll find play equipment and a garden cabin / office. The bathrooms both have soaking tubs and handheld showers. There are 3 bedrooms: 1 kingsize with an ensuite bathroom and 2 kids’ rooms with day beds that can be made into doubles, suitable for children age 2 and upwards.

Style Notes

Peaceful city oasis. This light, modern London pad is full of fun, family appeal with colorful artwork on the walls, tropical wallpaper and vintage mirrors. The living room is cosy with a couch plumped with cushions and books galore. The kitchen and bathrooms have been recently renovated with high-quality finishes. We love the outdoor terrace for relaxing in the summer while the kids play, the homely touches and the very convenient location.
