Overlooking some of south Devon's finest sandy beaches, this 5/6 bedroom house with separate annex is a great location for a summer vacation for up to 11 people. It’s a light-filled house where everything orientates around the views of the sea - even the deluxe kitchen, giving you something beautiful to look at while preparing breakfast. As well as the main house, which has four bedrooms upstairs and a library/ bedroom downstairs, there is an annexe with a double bedroom and separate entrance that would suit grandparents or a nanny. Just a stroll away you’ll find a pub, beaches and Burgh Island. We love the area, with countryside and plenty of villages serving cream teas nearby, plus beaches made for sandcastles.

My husband, 1 year old son and I stayed at the beautiful Seaview Residence for 5 nights in October. Our hosts were very communicative and provided very useful directions for reaching the property, along with other useful hints and tips and made organising our stay a breeze. We enjoyed a warm welcome and were overwhelmed by the amazing views from the dining room and kitchen as soon as we entered. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed for our stay and more. We will definitely return for another visit.

Bigbury-on-Sea, Devon

Sandcastle and sea tractors

Best known among transport-mad tots for the sea tractor that takes passengers to Burgh Island at high tide, Bigbury is a South Devon seaside town with a sandy beach and a great oyster shack, and is made for easy bucket-and-spade style summer vacations.
