This stunning family home with a great garden for kids is in the Newlands area of central Boulder, close to restaurants, parks and numerous hiking trails.With a modern, contemporary kitchen fully stocked with all necessary cooking supplies and standard condiments, family dining is a breeze. The large open floor plan allows space for the kids to play in eyesight, while you prepare the evening meal. The best aspect of this home are the wide folding glass doors, which completely open to the outdoors from the living area. Feel the cool Colorado breeze or warm sunshine, while reading a captivating novel cozied up on the comfortable couch.

Why Kids Love it

Complete with a large tree house, slide and swings, this home has a completely fenced in backyard where the kids can pay. It is only a short walk from North Boulder Park and numerous hiking trails. There are also plenty of books, toys and stuffed animals in each of the kids rooms, along with a play set in the basement. Two pack'n'plays are available for guest use. North Boulder Park, 1 block South, is the centerpiece for the neighborhood and has a large jungle gym and open space to run around in for hours. It’s a great location for picnics on warm days, and local ice cream shop Sweet Cow often parks its ice cream truck in the area, as an added attraction.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 nights. The hosts will also collect 12.5% tax on arrival from the guest in cash or check. The house is set up for families; note that young children may need supervision on the play equipment in the back yard. Stairs can be gated on request. It is managed by Home Host, a complete concierge service that can provide anything from turndown service to personal assisting, private chauffeuring, or guided fishing trips. About the Location

The residence is in the Newlands neighborhood of Boulder, under 5 minutes by car from downtown and central Boulder. Head west and it's not even a 10-minute walk to countless trailheads and some really stunning views. Nine blocks South sits the Dakota Ridge Trailhead, while 5 blocks North begins the Goat Trail; both of these trails connect to the moderately ranked Sanitas Valley Loop Trail, which features beautiful wildflowers for a total of 3.3 miles. Please read the description of the trails before you go and bring plenty of water, as not all trails are suitable for small children. It is walking distance to Ideal market and plenty of restaurants and shops in the Ideal Broadway Shops and Community Plaza. The property is a 10-minute drive from Boulder Municipal Airport. It is a 40-minute drive to Eldora Mountain Resort; Amtrak ski operates a ski train on Saturdays and Sundays during the ski season from Denver Union Station to Winter Park.

Accommodation Details

This spacious 5 bed, 3.5 bath family home includes a main floor with open plan living room, kitchen and dining area. A guest bedroom on the main floor has a queensize bed. The upper floor has a master bedroom with kingsize bed, a second bedroom with single bed and single trundle bed, and a third bedroom with double 4 poster bed with a single mattress beneath it. The basement has a bedroom with queensize bed. The master ensuite bath has a large soaking tub, double sinks and vanity. There are 2 more full sized bathrooms for guests to use. The back yard includes an outdoor dining space and play area, and is fully fenced.
