Keen chefs will love cooking up a storm with a professional 6-burner gas stove or with the gas BBQ in the backyard (perfect for al-fresco family meals). Enjoy lazy mornings with a coffee from the built-in Gaggenau espresso machine, before lounging around the pool or heading to the beach - this is the perfect summer getaway for stressed parents.

Why Kids Love it

This is a great space for a family. The hosts have 3 young children (aged between 3 and 6 years old) but the house works for both younger kids and teens. Kids will love the cozy TV room for playing and relaxing, and they’ll spend hours splashing in the heated pool or playing with the hosts’ own toys. The hosts also provide a high chair and a pack-and-play for parents traveling with babies or toddlers. When they're ready to explore, it’s 5 minutes’ drive to the Children’s Museum of the East End and there are miles of sandy beaches just a short drive away.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: Monthly bookings only in July and August. The rest of the year the minimum is 1 week on request. Safety notes: there is no gate around the pool and there are doors leading directly to the pool area and garden, so young children should be supervised. Parking is available on the driveway and car rental is recommended although not essential as the village is within walking distance. The swimming pool is heated and the house has air conditioning. The hosts have 2 air beds and a travel crib available for additional guests. The house also has a fully-finished lower level basement that can be used as a gym or a den.

About the Location

This residence is located in the heart of Bridgehampton, New York. Bridgehampton is one of the most sought-after towns in the country, offering everything from vineyards to private beaches, within easy reach of New York City. It’s less than 15 minutes’ walk into Bridgehampton village (or 2 minutes’ drive) where there is a choice of eateries, stores, a farmers market and a SoulCycle. It’s less than 10 minutes’ drive to Sagg Main Town Beach or Gibson Beach. Bridgehampton train station is less than 5 minutes’ drive (for access to the city). Sag Harbor is just 12 minutes’ drive for access to water sports, boating and cycle hire. New York City airports are just over 2 hours away.

Accommodation Details

This house has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, set over 2 floors. The East wing of the main level has a primary bedroom (with a kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom), together with a family room, a mudroom with a washer/dryer, a chef’s eat-in kitchen and a formal dining room. Also on this level is a garage and an attached pool house. Upstairs, there are 2 further bedrooms (both with ensuite bathrooms and queensize beds). On the other side of the upper level, there is another adult bedroom with a queensize bed and an ensuite bathroom. Outside, there are loungers around the pool and a shady patio table in the back yard.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
