Style Notes

Modern classic. Built in the 1890s, this house has all the classical, typical Amsterdam-style details still present, including 3.6m-high classically decorated ceilings. The space is modern and elegant throughout, with muted, neutral colors, parquet floors and statement lighting; kids bedrooms are bright and bold. We love the spa-like bathroom, the Eames chairs in the living room and the bright and beautiful kids pictures that lively up the second children’s bedroom.

Hello, I'm a chef and live in the beautifull canal filled centre of Amsterdam with my husband and 2 daughters. Besides being very enthusiastic about everything concerning food, I love traveling, art house cinema and going to concerts in Paradiso. Hope to welcome you in our 1890ties town house.

We had a wonderful stay in the Texstraat residence. Our kids (5, 3 , 1) immediately felt like home (the fact that we have the same highchair at home could be part of it) We enjoyed the neighbourhood with a playground just around the corner and a bike rental few minutes away. As the location is quite central we could come back home during the day to get some rest which has allowed us to enjoy the stay even more as the kids would not be to tired.

We were bowled over by this property. It was a huge space in a city renowned for small spaces, spread over two large floors with everything you would need for a great family holiday. The location was ideal, walking distance to everything you need. The home was full of all the mod cons you could imagine, and we would have no hesitation in staying here again on our next trip to Amsterdam.

Absolutely loved the house! Great space for kids and adults alike. Lots of toys to keep children happy. Comfy sleeping arrangements. Kids adored the big bath. We found the kitchen easy to use and the open plan perfect for mealtimes and downtime. Lovely quiet residential street, near a playpark and pancake palace - fab for my 3 kids! Thank you!

Centrum, Amsterdam

Historic and atmospheric

This famous circuit of canals, museums and quirky streets in the heart of old Amsterdam has beautiful 17th century town houses and brightly-painted canal boats. It is historic and atmospheric and a great location for a family stay, being walking distance from Anne Frank House, an organic farmer’s market and the famous Nine Streets shopping district. Even better, there is a café and restaurant on every corner.
