This crisp and contemporary 3-bedroom apartment with access to a heated indoor swimming pool, spa and gym and soft play area is within walking distance of Chamonix with views of Mont Blanc. It sleeps up to 7. A family stay is easy here with a fully equipped kitchen (including a Nespresso machine and raclette grill) and an open plan living / dining area. The apartment is in a new development – Residence La Cordée has a pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, gym, climbing room and communal areas including a sundeck and reading lounge.

Why Kids Love it

Kids of all ages will be comfortable here – there are books and board games, plus an Apple TV, Bose sound system and Blue Ray player. In the block is a soft play room for young children, an outside playground and, for older kids, a pool table and table football. In winter there are ski lessons on the mountain, ice-skating and husky dog sledding. In summer, there’s canoeing, kayaking, volleyball, bowling and bungee jumping. All year round, there’s there are stunning views and fun to be had on the old Montenvers rack and pinion railway.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 7 nights. The mezzanine level in the bedroom is only suitable for kids age 6 and above. Children should be supervised on the balconies and around the pool. There is a concierge living in the residence concierge in the residence who takes care of the spa and overall well being in the residence. There is also a concierge that takes care of check in / check out, ski passes and transfers, which can be arranged on request. There is underground parking and a ski locker which is directly accessible from the apartment by an elevator. All linens, towels and end of stay cleaning are included. Travel cribs, high chairs and booster seats can be hired on request.

About the Location

This residence is located in the Residence La Cordée, next to a lake in the Plaine des Praz area of the Chamonix valley. The apartment is south-facing with spectacular views of Mont Blanc. Chamonix town center, and its shops, restaurants and bars, is a 20-minute walk along the river or 6-minute drive. To ski or access trails in the summer, there is a cable car at La Flégère (800m), a 5-minute drive. The apartment is 1 hr, 15 mins from Geneva airport; alternative airports include Chambery (1.5 hours) and Turin and Lyon (2 hours away).

Accommodation Details

This 78 sq m apartment has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There is an open plan kitchen / dining / living area with a table seating up to 6. A balcony with a table and chairs overlooks the communal sundeck, Champraz Lake and Mont Blanc. The master queensize bedroom has an ensuite shower room and balcony. The second bedroom has a queensize bed and a single bed on a mezzanine level above. The third bedroom also has a queensize bed. A family bathroom has a bath tub and overhead shower.

Contemporary chalet. This bright and light modern apartment has everything you need for a cozy and comfortable stay. The furniture and décor are all brand new. The décor is calm with neutral walls and wood paneling. Bathrooms are sleek while the beds have smart linens and fluffy throws. We love the roughly hewn wooden coffee table, the fabulous facilities on-site and the proximity to the impressive peaks of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

At the base of Mont Blanc, Chamonix is one of the French Alps’ most popular resorts, with a multitude of slopes and plenty to do year round. In winter, ski schools take kids from age 3, and plenty of activities take place on and off the slopes for all the family; when the snow has melted there are hiking trails, marmot paths, art clubs and mountain bike trails through the trees and around the valley. Cable cars offer panoramic views of the mountains and pretty alpine towns all around.
