This bright and beautiful Brooklyn apartment was designed with kids in mind. The owners live in the upper apartment and can help with any needs. The residence is a short walk from plenty of family-friendly attractions, including Brooklyn Botanical Garden, Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Children’s Museum. Everything The bathroom has a tub and a shower.
Why Kids Love it
The apartment is in a fine location for family fun in Brooklyn and is best for those with children aged 7 and under (older children are also welcome, but there are less items specifically for them. The hosts can provide age-appropriate books and toys on request. There is no TV but the apartment has WiFi so streaming to personal devices is possible. There is a small private patio but no garden access.
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 30 days. The apartment is on the ground floor, not below ground level like so many garden apartments in Brooklyn. No smoking inside or directly outside the apartment. No private parking, but there is easy on-street parking nearby. The hosts can offer a travel crib and help with anything you may have forgotten. The property is a short walk to several nice playgrounds and less than 20 minutes to Manhattan.
About the Location
The residence is on the border of Prospect Heights And Crown Heights, very close to Park Slope, Clinton Hill, Bedford Stuyvesant and Fort Greene. All are great family-friendly areas of Brooklyn with easy connections to the wider city and Manhattan. Transport links nearby include the 2, 3, 4, 5, B, C, D, N, Q, R and Shuttle trains, around 10-15 minutes' walk away. JFK can be anywhere from 30-60 minutes away, depending on traffic.
Accommodation Details
This 2-bedroom 1-floor apartment has a compact open kitchen dining and living area and a small patio. The bedrooms include 1 with queensize bed and 1 with full/double bed; the living area has a room for a double air bed (on request). The family bathroom has a shower and bath.
Style Notes
Bright and welcoming. Clean and simply decorated, the apartment was newly renovated in 2016 with all-new fixtures and appliances. The kitchen has a stainless stove and refrigerator and a wooden countertop. The space is set up for adults, but kids are welcome and will feel comfortable in it. We love the wooden floors and the vintage map.
