Perks for the Parents

This light-filled North Fork home on nearly an acre of land has a lovely free-form pool and is within walking distance of a beach and close to farm stands and vineyards. It sleeps up to 8. Parents will also enjoy the lush gardens with a comfortable hammock. There’s a full kitchen and family-sized dining area. All bedrooms are spacious and there’s a large master bedroom. Relaxed family time is the order of the day here with plenty of space to relax at home or enjoy sea and sand at local beaches.

Why Kids Love it

This beach house is set on ¾ acre that is fenced all the way around, making it a safe for kids to wander. There is a lawn for ball games and room for a badminton net. Best of all, it’s walking distance (1 mile, 20 minutes) from here to Causeway Beach where you’ll find basketball, bathrooms and a playground. There is creek access too. Local restaurants and cafes are kid-friendly.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: one month summer 2023. There is an additional charge of $250/week to cover pool cleaning Cable TV and final cleanup. Electricity and required weekly housecleaning will be the direct responsibility of the renter, a deposit will be taken for electricity. Safety notes: the pool is enclosed with a fence and a gate for the safety of little ones, it is not heated. Pets are not permitted. The downstairs office can be made up into an additional bedroom if required. Causeway Beach access is included in the rental, permits will be provided . Please note that there are no toys at the property so it’s best to pack some. There is private parking at the property on the driveway.

About the Location

This residence is located in Cutchogue, North Fork, Long Island with easy access to the towns of Greenport (9 miles) or Riverhead (15 miles). The house is surrounded by wineries, fishing, kayaking, antique shops and excellent local farm stands. King Kullen Shopping Center and Braun’s Seafood are a quick 3-minute drive. You’re spoilt for choice with beaches: Causeway Beach is a 2-minute drive and Nassau Point Beach is a 4-minute drive away. There is a 3-par golf course 7 minutes’ drive away, several tennis courts and newly built pickleball courts nearby. New York City is approximately 2hrs, 20 mins’ drive away where you’ll find all major airports.

Accommodation Details

This is a 4-bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home on 2 stories. On the first floor is an open plan kitchen and dining room seating up to 8. There is an archway leading into the living room that features a fireplace and a 55" flat screen smart TV with cable. Also on this floor is an office overlooking the garden and a powder room. Upstairs are 4 bedrooms: 1 kingsize with an ensuite bathroom with a shower; 2 queensize and 1 with 2 twin / single beds. There is a family bathroom with a shower and a soaking tub. Outside is a large open space with a big yard, outdoor patio with outdoor dining and a built-in pool with loungers, umbrellas and an outdoor shower.

This is a bright, modern vacation home that is full of light all day long. Interior décor is neutral with soft tones and wooden furniture. There are wooden floors throughout. Bedrooms are tasteful with colored rugs and white high-quality linens. We love the peace and quiet here, the outdoor dining table in the garden, and the private pool area that’s conveniently fenced so parents can relax.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

We are a middle aged couple living on the upper west side but love to escape to our nearly one-acre home and the surrounding tranquility. Our millennial children love coming to fish, ride our bikes or lay by the pool. The bright and airy ,family-friendly house comfortably sleeps 8 people and is less than one mile from Nassau Point Beach. We are close to 8 Hands Farm, vineyards, and 8 miles to Greenport.
