There is a housekeeper and a babysitter can be arranged on request. The roof terrace has great views of the city.

Why Kids Love it

This family apartment has a boy’s and a girl’s bedroom with a lot of toys. There are gymnastic rings in the hallway to play Tarzan in the jungle with. There are playgrounds just around the corner and the street is small and quiet with only one-way traffic. There are a lot of children living on this street and plenty of new playmates to be made. The hosts can provide bicycles for a full Amsterdam experience.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 3 nights. Note that the apartment is not suitable for very small children as it has steep stairs and no stair gates. There is no elevator up to the apartment, as typical in Amsterdam’s townhouses. There is a balcony open from the main living space in the apartment: children may need to be supervised. The hosts have a friendly house cat called Brownie - guests are kindly asked to look after her.

About the Location

The apartment is in the Pijp or Latin Quarter of Amsterdam, walking distance from the Museum District and the city’s canals in a family-friendly area. There are cafés, restaurants and parks in the surrounding neighborhood. It is easy to explore the city on foot or by bike. Schiphol Airport is 15 minutes away by taxi. Car hire is not required in this central district of the city.

Style Notes

Spacious and tasteful decorated with vintage furniture. Breathtaking rooftop terrace. Wooden floors, vintage carpets. The kids rooms have a dash of vintage design with retro Mickey Mouse posters and modern kids beds. There are skylights in the master bedroom for night time views of the stars. De Pijp, Amsterdam

The Latin Quarter

De Pijp is one of the most vibrant and bohemian districts in the city, 10 minutes from the city center. Head to the famous Albert Cuypmarket to discover fantastic cafés, restaurants and bars and spot street signs along the way - many local streets are named after famous artists. Sarphati Park is a great place to play, and for lager-loving parents, the Heineken brewery is in the neighborhood too.
