This beach house is just a couple of blocks from the beach and provides a great retro-styled hideaway for a family of up to 7 + 1 with all conveniences on the doorstep and a hot tub in the back yard. It’s a cheerful place to stay on a quiet street with a farmers’ market two blocks away each weekend. The owners kindly provide beach towels, a bike, a surfboard and a boogie board so you can make the most of the local area. We love the garden space, the modern kitchen and the relaxed vibe.

What we love

  • It’s a great location in a lovely surf/yoga town in SoCal with shops and the beach just a couple of blocks away
  • The back yard has a secret spa-like feel, with loungers, a barbecue and a private hot tub
  • There’s also a secure back garden with a chalkboard and a lawn at the front of the house - good for children or pets
  • There are three cheerful bedrooms. One has a tempurpedic queen mattress and cork-style flooring plus access to the private rear garden
  • Another has a queen bed with a memory foam mattress
  • And the third has a bunk bed with a fullsize bed under a twin bed
  • The kitchen-diner area is well set up with a large wooden table and modern appliances and is great for family dining
  • It opens on to the lounge area, which has a big wave poster, sofas, chairs, a TV and toys
  • The residence has a home office with WiFi, printer/copier and desk
  • Stone Steps, Moonlight, Beacons and Swami’s are just four of the beaches nearby

I am the mother of 2 Toddlers, and the wife to a busy professional. When we are not doing house projects you can find us at the beach, in the woods, or in the sky paragliding. A fun loving family who knows how to work hard and play harder. We split our time between Northern and Southern California.

We loved it. A perfect getaway for our family of 4 plus Nana and Nanu. The thoughtful home owners have stocked the rental with everything you need to enjoy, rest and relax. It couldn't have been better, and we are definitely looking forward to coming back soon. xx Ralph, Laura, Stella + Wren
