Style Notes

Characterful farmhouse. One of the first farmhouses to be built outside the fortified village of Eygalières at the end of the 18th century, the residence has been carefully renovated to combine its rustic period charm with contemporary comfort. Exposed stone and traditional detail have been preserved throughout with feature walls and a statement vault and fireplace in the living room. Surrounded by the beautiful Alpilles Mountains, interiors draw on nature with large windows and glass doors to soak in the views and scattered antiques, paintings and wall hangings inspired by the local area. Wood and stone are uplifted by bright pops of wall color with reds, yellows and lime washes making the rooms dazzle alongside carefully selected vintage pieces. We love the unbridled rustic style of this residence with art, antiques and furnishings chosen to delight and compliment the stunning natural surrounds. The pool terrace with its quirky olive tree encased table is a particularly charming spot to enjoy an alfresco breakfast or dinner.

I am in love with Provence. I love the blue of the sky, the heat in Summer, the cold in Winter..the food, the people.. Al the properties I managed have been carefully chosen and all of them are kids friendly. I know my region by heart and I can help you to plan your holidays. For your kids, many activities, potery, art classes, cooking classes, climb tree experiences, fishing, canoeing etc.. For you, parents: Wine tour, Air tour above Provence and Luberon, cooking class or private chef at home, perfume making etc..

Eygalières, Provence

Medieval ruins and market stalls

This pretty village in the heart of Provence is perched in the northern Alpilles mountains and has medieval ruins along with shops, restaurants and bakeries. On a Friday, market stalls selling local produce line the stone streets and draw in plenty of local visitors. It’s a charming little village and is in a great location for exploring the area, with Avignon, Arles, Aix, Saint Remy and Les Baux de Provence all under hour’s drive away.
