We had a wonderful experience staying at the Fulton Street Residence while renovations were being done on our home, also in the neighborhood. We have a toddler and an infant, and this home was perfectly set up to accommodate them. My big boy slept in the bottom bunk of the bunk beds and my baby slept in the crib. The house was spotless and beautifully furnished and our hosts couldn't have been nicer. They worked with us over email to coordinate the dates for the rental, showed us the apartment before we booked it, checked in with us to make sure we found everything ok once we arrived and even left us a bottle of wine! We enjoyed hanging out on the terrace but too bad it was winter, so we didn't get to use the jacuzzi. My big boy loved all of the books and toys they had at this apartment, it was so exciting for him to have all new toys to play with for a week. Definitely a great experience overall. Would highly recommend to other families.

Financial District, Manhattan

Riverside parks and a charging bull

Rather stealthily, the Financial District has become a great place to stay in the city. Plenty of celebrities have homes here and in nearby Tribeca for good reason: it's a quiet neighborhood with great transport links, interesting buildings and views of the water to Lady Liberty in some quarters. Head to the riverside to find parks and playgrounds, and don't forget to get a family picture taken beside the charging bull.
