Perks for the Parents

This bright high-ceilinged turn-of-the-century luxury loft, nestled between Tribeca, South St Seaport and the World Trade Center with view of both bridges is well equipped for families. With an open living/dining/kitchen space, it has plenty of room to roam around, and an uncluttered eclectic feel that makes you feel at home. The 3 bedrooms offer plenty of space; the children's bathroom has a tub, bath toys and an LED shower hose.

Why Kids Love it

The children’s bedroom features a bunk bed, plenty of toys, dolls and drawing materials, and a library of great books, from Harry Potter to Struwwelpeter, Wilhelm Busch and Goodnight Moon. The living room is very large and loft sized, and provides ample room for kids to zoom around, including in the long hallway connecting the living room with the master bedroom. Two scooters and bikes with helmets are supplied. There are local playgrounds just down the street.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 4 days. The loft has elevator access and is on the 15th floor. It has air conditioning and high speed internet. High thread-count bedding is provided for each bed and sofa; fluffy towels, soaps and lotions are supplied. The floors are noise proof, and jumping or stomping noises won't travel to other apartments. A crib, high chair, baby toys and a baby bath can be provided on request. There are views over the river, sailboats and the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges.

About the Location

Located at the southern fringes of Tribeca, and close to South Street Seaport and the World Trade Center, this residence is in a prime location for exploring the city. The South Street Seaport piers and parks are nearby, great for biking, scooters, or just running around on the grass. It is easy to connect with the rest of the city: all subways link here, and there are Citibikes downstairs. The residence is 50 minutes from JFK and 30 minutes from LaGuardia airport.

Accommodation Details

This 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom loft has a large open plan living space including a gourmet kitchen, dining area and spacious lounge, a master bedroom with kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom, a kids bedroom with bunk beds, a guest bedroom and a music study with a sofa bed that folds out as a queensize bed. There is no outside space, but just beyond the apartment there are parks and public spaces.

Style Notes

Modern quirky. The eclectic interior is uncluttered with designer furniture, a large sectional modular sofa that can be playfully re-arranged into whatever shapes the kids like, disco balls, a cuckoo clock from the Black Forest, a music room with piano, and a corporate white board with dry eraser pens for kids use. We love the amount of space to run and play - unusual in this city - the large family kitchen and the North American Elk head on the living room wall.

We love our home and design it in a quirky eclectic way, clutter-less and varied in style so that everyone can project their own style into it and feel comfortable.

Financial District, Manhattan

Riverside parks and a charging bull

Rather stealthily, the Financial District has become a great place to stay in the city. Plenty of celebrities have homes here and in nearby Tribeca for good reason: it's a quiet neighborhood with great transport links, interesting buildings and views of the water to Lady Liberty in some quarters. Head to the riverside to find parks and playgrounds, and don't forget to get a family picture taken beside the charging bull.
