This LEED Gold certified building is the first of its kind in Brooklyn and houses a light and colourful 2-bedroom apartment, perfect for a young family and sleeping 3 + 1. It is close to the area’s best attractions for families, plenty of green spaces and also has a shared 2,000sq ft roof terrace. We love the sense of space, the views of Manhattan and the proximity to all of Brooklyn's best parks and child-friendly spot. Hire bikes and explore like the locals or daytrip easily into Manhattan via the subway - it's only 15 minutes away. This residence is also well suited to families travelling with small children, with all the relevant baby equipment.

What we love

  • The destination - a couple of blocks from three parks and in a leafy neighbourhood with 19th century brownstones
  • The light, bright living room has a comfy L-shaped sofa and art by Michael Ray Charles
  • The joyful kids bedroom has a toddler bed and a crib and plenty of toys
  • The serene master bedroom is painted in pale, soothing colours for a restful night’s sleep
  • The family bathroom has a tub and shower
  • In the kitchen-diner, there’s space to cook up a divine dinner from your farmer’s market finds, plus a stove, fridge-freezer and small table
  • There's also a shared community room and a 2,000sq ft terrace on the second floor

Lesley was an incredibly welcoming hostess to her family's cozy Brooklyn home. She left the grown-ups a cold bottle of rose and the kids a special book about New York. What more could you possibly ask for? The S. Oxford apartment was incredibly convenient to all the fun things we wanted to do in Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan, and it was a great, comfortable place for our family. We would stay at Lesley's place again in a heartbeat.

We stayed at Lesley's apartment for a trip in February with 2 kids (2 yrs old), my husband and I, and mother in law. The apartment is spacious, clean, with plenty of toys for our kids to play with. There was one crib and they were nice enough to obtain a pack n play for us to use as well. The location is great- close to Target and stores for any needs, walking distance to tons of stuff, subways, and very safe. We got in later than expected and they were very accommodating in getting us the keys with our last minute delay. Would love to stay again in the future. Thank you!

The S. Oxford Street Residence was as lovely as the pictures! It worked perfectly for my family's short trip to New York. My husband and I shared the master, while our 11-week-old baby slept in the crib and my mom stayed on the pull-out couch. There was plenty of space for all of us. The Target nearby made grabbing basic necessities and a few groceries a breeze! We went for a couple nice walks around the neighbourhood, and my husband and I had an easy time getting to Madison Square Gardens for a couple concerts at night. I've already been in touch with Lesley about staying at her place again!

We can't wait for our next stay at the S. Oxford Street residence! Not only is the location great (5 min walk to the subway, plenty of restaurants and amenities close by, safe neighbourhood, a park right across the street!!) but the hosts are so friendly and accommodating. Lesley made sure that we had everything we needed, including a bottle of wine for the grown ups and a pop up book about NYC for our daughter and was just a text away if we needed anything. What a great first experience with Kid&Coe... Thanks Lesley and family!

Thanks to the Murtha family for treating us more like family friends than strangers! My family and I had a wonderful stay over a long weekend. This apartment is very well located in easy walking distance to many great family friendly restaurants and to the subway. If you need a resupply for the kids there are many convenience stores and a Target right by. And what fun to stroll Brooklyn and Dumbo, and walk across the Brooklyn Bridge! It was amazing to return home to an apartment full of kids toys - so different from a hotel. This is a great choice for a family visit to Brooklyn!

Lesley and her family were so generous! The apt was perfect and in a great location. We'd walk to Prospect Park, grab lunch a few blocks away and hop on the subway to the city. All easy and accessible. My two boys loved all the toys and slept so well in the kids room. We cannot sing more praise. Hopefully we'll be back soon.

This was our second stay at the South Oxford Street property in Fort Greene and again it was a lovely stay. The owners were very welcoming and we enjoyed the convenience and location: Close to subway, parks, restaurants and plenty of books and toys for our four year old to enjoy. We've recommended Kid & Coe and this apartment to friends and family.

The apartment was perfect for us. The host family couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful, the place was clean and tidy but not to such an extent that we felt worried about letting our one year old loose... it was ideal. The location was great too- handy transport links and right opposite a playground.

This home was perfect for our needs: well-equipped, spacious, close to subway, park, restaurants. Our hosts we extremely welcoming as well. They left us very detailed instructions, info about the area and even a bottle of wine! Lesley (the owner) was also great about answering questions via text quite quickly. And out 3 year old daughter loved playing with all the toys :) We could not have asked for a better first-time experience with Kid & Coe and we would highly recommend this apartment. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Brooklyn. I would also say that the booking process with Kid&Coe was pretty seamless.

Lovely family home and great location! Very kid friendly and my son loved all the toys in the apartment. To him is like vacationing in the toy store.
