The property is our holiday house, we are a family of 5 with three kids. We love our chalet and it was designed for family/kids needs, without compromising elegance.

We had a most fantastic week at the Combloux Residence in February and want to come back as soon as possible! The photos do not do justice (particularly in terms of space) to this stylish, comfortable, spacious and well organized property. The chalet was very comfortable for our two families with three children ages 6-9. We had a "fight" over which bedrooms to take because they were all so well appointed. Kids loved to share the four bunkbeds. The master bedroom has abundance of storage space and is unprecedented in terms of size for a mountain chalet. Best appointed kitchen I have come across in a rental property - you can see that it is somebody's home. The multi-level set-up of the house also meant that we weren't in each others face all the time. Kids loved the toys and the game room and adults all enjoyed warm, punctual and non-intrusive service provided by the couple leaving on site, Peter and Barbara. Peter is not only a good chef but a patient ski instructor! With meal service included and only cost of food to pay for our stay was a fantastic deal. Thank you to Mark and his wife for making their special place available. We have fallen in love! Chalet is close to La Princess lifts (we were told one can walk there but with small children we preferred to drive) and short drive to Megeve village. We thought generally car was necessary but make sure to bring winter tires in the snowy months.

French Alps, France

Snow-lovers, après ski and outdoor adventures

From November to March - and sometimes later - the French alps are filled with the sight of skiiers, snowboarders, skidoos and snow-lovers all descending on the mountains and resorts for maximum winter fun. For those with kids too young to enjoy it, there are options: swimming pools and spas, wildlife watching and sledging, as well as kids clubs at many ski resorts, and lessons from age 2.5. The Alps are great family choice out of season too, with summer outdoor opportunities including river rafting, parapenting, rock concerts, festivals and hiking trails.
