The house itself has rustic details, pretty gardens and plenty of space for kids to play. With its own private parking area and a private terrace and pool, it is part of a larger gite complex close to the Chateau de Bonaguil, one of the country’s grandest medieval castles.

There is plenty of space to play, with no traffic, a private pool and a lovely garden. There is a playground and local swimming pool with a toddler’s area in Fumel. Chateau de Bonaguil is 2 minutes away; there are also 3 family-friendly restaurants nearby. The hosts provide a selection of books and films for children plus a high chair, crib, travel crib, baby toys and plastic cutlery.

Things to Know

Minimum stay 1 week, 2 weeks in July and August. Well behaved dogs welcome by prior request with the owners. The pool is gated and set away from the house. Stair gates available; bed rails, crib and high chair also available on request. Housekeeping available by prior request. Cycling tours and local tourist advice available from the hosts on request. The kitchen includes double oven and gas stove, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffeemaker.

About the Location

The house is in Fumel, southwest France, around 10 minutes from local shops and 2-5 minutes from the Chateau de Bonaguil. It is in a quiet region of the Dordogne with plenty to do and see, from medieval villages to market towns, river trips, cycling and more. Bergerac airport is the closest airport, just over an hour’s drive away. Car rental is essential in this area of the French countryside. Private parking at the house.

There are 3 bedrooms, 1 with kingsize bed, 1 with full/double bed and 1 with a 2 twin beds. The living area has a sofa bed sleeping up to 2. Bathrooms include 2 shower rooms and 2 toilets. There is a large outdoor terrace with seating and dining area overlooking the private pool and garden.
