The lodge is full of luxuries and hotel-style extras for parents: beds have memory foam mattresses with all-white luxury linens, topped with a lush duvet and extra blankets for those frosty days. The outdoor hot tub overlooks the mountains - perfect for watching the sunset - and the stone firepit is a family favorite for cozy winter nights. Take the kids out to the nearby Amicalola Falls State Park for a hike to the 729-foot waterfall, and finish your days with a glass of wine from one of the local vineyards as you watch the stars in the clear night skies from the peaceful deck. This lodge is one of the most sought after mountain homes in North Georgia.

Why Kids Love it

This is such a special home and an amazing place for kids to explore, with enough space for large families to spread out and find their own area to hang out. The basement game room has a pool table with ping pong table conversion, full-sized vintage video arcade machine with 60 games and a foosball game. There’s also a second living space here, with a big screen Smart 4K TV (with Netflix, Apple TV & Cable), games such as Scrabble, Dominoes, Dartboard, Tic Tac Toe, Chess, plus various board and card games and a reading nook with books for all ages. The kids’ bunk room is great for older children or teens who want their own space too - it has individual bedside reading lights with USB and AC connections for personal devices and tablets. Parents with younger toddlers or babies will be pleased to find two high chairs, a crib, children’s utensils, and a pack-and-play pen.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 3 nights in low season; 7 nights during holiday season. Certain pets may be allowed for an additional fee - check with the host when booking. There is plenty of parking on the grand driveway. The Lodge has truly thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. All rooms include new Smart 4K TVs with Netflix, Apple TV and cable, along with Sonos Play 1’s on both levels, including an additional one in the Game Room so the kids can play the latest jams. The hosts also offer 2 double air beds and two double sofabeds for additional guests. The parent’s bathroom is stocked with over-the-counter medications, toiletries, and feminine products, as well as a First Aid Kit for those unexpected little cuts. Extra chopped wood is always stocked for guests, along with umbrellas, walking sticks, binoculars, and a telescope. About the Location

The house is located on the Appalachian Mountains in Dawsonville, North Georgia. It’s settled on the border of Chattahoochee National Forest, around 1 hour 45 minutes’ drive North of Atlanta. The Lodge is situated on Amicalola Mountain, a picturesque spot with a local ‘Big Foot’, and a shooting range for bibi guns (under parental supervision). Nearby there are wineries and vineyards, amazing food experiences, quaint charming towns, lake fishing, and plenty of antiquing and shopping options. The area has year-round vacation activities, so you’re bound to make beautiful family memories whenever you come to stay. During the summer months, the whole family can enjoy hiking, river tubing, mudding, off-roading, zip-lining, hunting, and nature trails for walking or running. When the winter season arrives, this picturesque destination is layered with snow, perfect for the Christmas holidays. Accommodation Details

This residence has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, set over 2 floors. Upstairs, the bedrooms include: 1 primary bedroom (with a kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom), 1 guest bedroom (with queen size beds), and 1 single bedroom. The kitchen has full-size stainless steel appliances, including a microwave, dishwasher, and a Keurig machine plus an Italian espresso maker, along with an assortment of coffees, teas and condiments. Parents will love the Opal nugget ice machine and there’s pots, pans, cookie sheets, mugs, cups, plates, and cutting boards - all ready for the family chef. This room also features a breakfast bar and dining table, so the family can hang out while family meals are being prepared. Also on this floor is a cozy living room centered around a wood burning fireplace, and access to the outdoor decks. On the lower basement level, you’ll find the game room, together with a coffee bar/snack kitchen (with monogrammed Lodge mugs and to-go sleeved coffee cups) and an additional living space. This basement floor hosts 2 double sofa beds, as well as the kids’ bedroom with 2 single bunk beds.

Styled by a professional designer, the lodge features boho-chic inspired spaces with modern touches throughout, as well as many charming classic lodge-style details such as wood panelled walls and antler wall hangings. The interiors blend natural wood textures, white walls, and fresh blue tones to create a relaxing yet beautiful space that feels elegant yet welcoming. We love the boho painted wooden bedroom furniture, the quirky spiral staircase down to the basement, and the luxurious marble countertops in the bathrooms.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
