Style Notes

Modern landmark. The house is a Sonoma County historic landmark and was built in 1904. Completely remodeled in 2015, everything is new, but in a style that is true to the original architecture of the home. It is a stylish mix including the original fireplace, wood floors, and pocket doors, and modern appliances and bathroom finishes. Marble bathrooms house walk-in showers and bedrooms include ceiling fans and historic prints of the house. We love the elegance of this residence, coupled with its backyard with mountain views and trailing vines.

We are a San Francisco family with two kids. We love finding places that make it easy and fun to travel together.

Geyserville, Russian River

Wild West storefronts in the heart of wine country

Wild West storefronts line up along the main street in Geyserville, a small town a few miles from Healdsburg in the heart of Sonoma County's wine region. What to do nearby? It's perfect weekender territory - visit wineries (include Francis Ford Coppola's, which is surprisingly good with kids), eat local food, drink coffee and relax. Lake Sonoma nearby has boating, fishing and watersports, and if you like hiking or biking, you can take your pick from local routes.
