Things to Know

No pets, parties or smoking. The lead guest must be at least 25 years old. All guests will receive a rental agreement prior to their stay which you are required to sign and submit. This home is set over 3 floors with spiral stairs so crawling babies or toddlers may need additional supervision. There are 2 off-street parking spaces. The kitchen and primary bedroom boast underfloor heating. Please note there is no TV.

About the Location

The house is located in Ravenscourt Park, just outside Hammersmith, west London. A short walk brings you to Stamford Brook station (for access to the District Line) or you can wander through the leafy Ravenscourt Park itself to reach Ravenscourt Park station (both around 10 minutes on foot). Hammersmith is around 10-15 minutes away by car or subway. The charming neighborhood shops and eateries of the Askew Village area are 10 minutes’ walk. It’s under half an hour by subway to visit South Kensington (for the city’s best museums) or Sloane Square in Chelsea. Westfield and Shepherd’s Bush are a short bus ride away. Heathrow airport is under 1 hour away by train or car.

The residence has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, set over 3 floors. The large kitchen/dining area is on the lower ground floor, with steps down from the main entrance and access to the pretty patio. This floor also features a cozy library with a wood burning stove, a utility room plus the primary bedroom with a kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom (with a bathtub). Upstairs on the raised ground level, there’s a spacious reception room and an adjacent nursery with 2 cribs. On the upper floor, you’ll find another kingsize bedroom with an ensuite bathroom (with a standalone bathtub) and a children’s bedroom with a set of bunk beds plus an ensuite shower room.

The property is rumored to have hosted parties by Oscar Wilde (a glamorous endorsement indeed) and the colorful interiors ring true to the history: the living room is a dreamy sky-blue with eye-catching wall art while the library is decorated in midnight hues. When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
Full refund (less 3% processing fee) when cancelling at least 5 days before arrival, 50% refund if cancelling less than 5 days before arrival.
