Perks for the Parents
A grand townhouse opposite Keats House in Hampstead Heath, with plenty of space for large families. It sleeps 8. Known as one of the most prestigious parts of north London, Hampstead Heath is filled with grand period homes and leafy streets - the perfect haven for a family trip. There’s also plenty of space for multi-generational trips or those traveling with a nanny, with bedrooms on each floor and a private loft suite for guests.
Why Kids Love it
This home doesn't come with toys or books for children, but there’s plenty of space to choose your own bedroom and there are lots of family-friendly attractions nearby. Hampstead Heath has a choice of playgrounds, adventure parks, sports courts, an outdoor lido and endless trails for running, cycling or scooting. There’s even a zoo and deer enclosure at Golders Hill Park, on the western side of the Heath (8 minutes’ drive or 20 minutes by subway) and a science observatory for space enthusiasts.
Things to Know
No pets, parties or smoking. The lead guest must be at least 25 years old. All guests will receive a rental agreement prior to their stay which you are required to sign and submit. The washing machine and dryer can be found in the living room. There is gated off-street parking available for at least 2 cars although car rental is not essential in this central area. There is currently some construction going on near by which can occasionally be heard at the property.
About the Location
The house is located opposite Keats House, on a stunning street lined with tall trees in Hampstead Heath. The heath itself is just 2 minutes at the end of the street (as is Hampstead Heath station), and visitors can drop in to John Keats home to explore a historical collection of letters and poems. A 5-minute walk in the other direction will take you to Hampstead station and high street, filled with independent shops, cute bakeries and neighborhood restaurants. Heathrow airport is around 1 hour away by car or train.
Accommodation Details
This residence has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, set over 4 floors. On the ground floor main level, you’ll find an eat-in kitchen with a Nespresso machine and a living room, as well as 2 utility rooms which lead out to the patio. Upstairs on the first floor is a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom, second living room and office. The second floor boasts 2 kingsize bedrooms, 1 of which has an ensuite bathroom and large closet. The top floor is home to a private loft suite: another kingsize bedroom with an ensuite bathroom.
Style Notes
Town and country. This traditional home boasts a neutral palette and classical patterned textiles to blend both rural and urban elements. Period fireplaces complement dark wood furniture while a sleek modern kitchen brings the space up to date. We love the original Georgian windows, the plentiful bookshelves and the grand curved architecture of the exterior.
