Perks for the Parents

This fantastically-located central Hancock Park residence is a lovely family home, filled with toys for boys and girls and is close to playgrounds and family attractions including the beach. Along with a pool and toys, all the bedrooms are on the same floor for safety and comfort. There is a large kitchen with tons of kids utensils and plates. Bathtubs in all the bathrooms make bedtime easy.

Why Kids Love it

This welcoming family home has a pool plus toys, books, kids DVDs and a selection of wonderful playgrounds nearby. The residence has bikes to borrow and is in a kid-friendly neighborhood. It is half an hour from Disneyland and half an hour from the beach; 10 minutes from the Hollywood bowl and walking distance to Pizzeria Mozza and many other great restaurants and shopping.

Things to Know

Minimum 2-night stay. There are no stair gates. The pool has an extremely safe cover that rolls onto the pool with a push of a button for child safety. There is an alarm for all doors and windows. Parking is free on the driveway for 1 car and street parking is permit free and easy. Travel crib and double air bed available.

About the Location

The residence is in Central Hancock Park, equidistant to Burbank and LAX airports. Local attractions include Pan Pacific Park, Van New Park, The Grove, Hollywood, the Observatory, Larchmont Village, major freeways, LACMA and downtown LA. Close to great restaurants.

This historic home with a pool and deck has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen, multiple dining areas and a comfortable lounge. Bedrooms are large, with a kingsize bed in the master plus 2 kids rooms, 1 with 2 twin beds and 1 with 1 twin bed, plus a Pack’n’Play.

Style Notes

The residence is cozy and comfortable, with an Old Europe-meets-New-America vibe. It has a mock Tudor exterior. There are wood beams on the ceiling, wooden floors with lots of rugs (sisal and Persian). All this plus plenty of books and music for entertainment.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The house and backyard were both charming and spacious and we loved spending time hanging out by the pool. The hosts we easy to reach if needed for quick questions. We hope to stay here again when in the neighborhood.

A village in the city

This central, historic and affluent neighborhood is a real gem for parents visiting LA. Just half an hour from Disneyland and ten minutes from the beach, there’s plenty to do. Visit stellar restaurants, play in serene parks and wander to next-door-neighbor Larchmont Village for farmers’ markets, quaint bookstores stocking children’s classics, and artisan bakeries.
