This newly renovated ground level townhouse apartment in Harlem with easy access to Times Square, Central Park, and the Museum Mile sleeps up to 4 and is ideal for a family with 1 or 2 older children and a baby. Harlem offers some of the best theater, music, literature, art, and dining in the city. This apartment, close to the subway and an array of great restaurants, bars, and coffee shops, is well set up for kids, with a high chair, toys, baby bathtub and strollers available on request. The owners live upstairs and are available for 24-hour assistance. Enjoy a break in this vibrant neighborhood while staying here, where soothing pale blue walls offset sleek, modern furniture and a fully-equipped eat-in kitchen begs for you to cook a family meal to remember. We love the shabby chic, distressed ornamental fireplace in the bright, spacious living room and the fantastic location, well placed for family explorations around the city's bright lights.

We are an international family who have lived all over the world but now call NYC home. We love to travel and experience all that new places have to offer. There is a large fully self-contained apartment in our home that is always available. We understand the challenges of traveling with babies and young children and look forward to making your stay in NYC relaxing and hassle free.

Rachel's apartment was perfect for our stay with our infant daughter. It was exactly as described, clean and very spacious. We've never stayed in Harlem before, but the location is very close to the train to easily access the entire city and we were also able to try some of Rachel's restaurant recommendations nearby which were lovely. We found street parking in front of the house, which may have been great luck, but it couldn't have been more convenient. Rachel and her family were quick to communicate and very hospitable. I would highly recommend staying here!

We had a wonderful trip in New-York and this flat was the perfect pied-à-terre for our family. It was quite spacious, very clean and had all the amenities we needed including plenty of toys and books for the children! Rachel lives upstairs with her family. She was always so helpful and gave us lots of tips and addresses for our food shopping, morning coffee and pastries, restaurants etc... We thought Harlem was a great location, only a 10 mn train ride to midtown! I warmly recommend it, it was a fantastic base for exploring and enjoying New York.

Harlem, Manhattan

DJ sets and double dutch

This part of Upper Manhattan runs from the East River to the Hudson and is known for its treelined brownstone blocks and multicultural community. Stop by the Totally Kid Carousel in Riverbank State Park - it’s the only one in the world designed by kids - or enjoy impromptu concerts, DJ sets and plays in the neighborhood's many parks in the summer.
