The Besida Residence
Perks for the Parents
This stone villa with sea views is great for a large family getaway, and is in a peaceful village a short drive from local beaches. With 6 bedrooms there is space for all the family. There is a beautiful master bathroom with traditional bathtub, and 4 separate showers. Two kitchens with exits to terraces make for a lovely evening gatherings around the table. The big lawn in front of the house is ideal for kids. The house is in a great location at the end of a peaceful village, offering space to socialize with family and friends under a sky full of stars, where the scent of herbs mixes with a fresh breeze from the sea.
Why Kids Love it
The house has plenty of books and toys for kids and a large living room where they can play. There is an outdoor space with a trampoline and lots of room to play various sports, especially on the lawn in front of the house. A crib, high chair and baby bath are available on request. Kids can explore the nature around the house and get adventurous on the nearby beaches. Kid-focused activities nearby include a water park just south of Pula, a 30-minute drive away. Swimming in the clear sea on the nearby secluded beaches is a wonderful experience. Beaches are 15 minutes by car or a 35-minute walk through the woods.
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 7 days. A car is a must. There is enough parking space in the yard. The owners try to keep the house as eco-friendly as possible. There are 3 sets of stairs in the house - some tricky for a toddler to navigate - and small children should be accompanied by adults. Some steps and low walls outside and around the property mean they may need supervision in the garden also, and on the terraces around the house.
About the Location
The residence is in the village of Peruski on the eastern side of the Istrian peninsula. Istria is a land of ancient and medieval scenery and beautiful landscapes with vineyards and top hill towns. The location is ideal for those looking for adventure in nature, a peaceful retreat, for advanced cyclists and scuba-divers and for those who like to take long walks through the woods to the sea. Everything is within a 15-minute drive (including the airport, supermarkets and big cities).

Style Notes
Classic rustic chic. This refurbished stone house has creative touches and attention to detail to create a home from home for a larger family group. Three terraces offer a breathtaking view of the Istrian coast on all levels and sides of the house. With comfortable living and lounging spaces and room for children to roam, it has plenty of family appeal. Artistic touches including vintage typewriters, chandeliers, Venetian masks and gardens with banks of lavender make it a special place to stay. We love the large bathtub, the exposed brickwork walls and the outdoor seating and dining areas.
