Perks for the Parents

Perfect for small families looking for a central London stay, this classic apartment is close to family-friendly eateries and shops on Chelsea’s Kings Road. It sleeps 4. Head out for some culture at the nearby Saatchi Gallery or visit the designer boutiques in Knightsbridge - this affluent neighborhood is a dream for both adults and kids. Jump on a bus to explore Buckingham Palace and Westminster (15 minutes away) or spend lazy days in nearby Battersea Park (10 minutes’ walk). Don’t miss the charming Peggy Porschen pink cake shop around the corner - a must for afternoon treats!

Why Kids Love it

Siblings can share the kids room, which has a single and a trundle bed (set up on request) and although there are no toys or books for children, there is so much to do in this area for families, without needing to drive. Walk to the River Thames to watch the boats sail by (under 5 minutes’ walk) or carry on over Albert Bridge all the way over to Battersea Park, one of the city’s best parks for kids, with a petting zoo, adventure playground and treetop walking trail (less than 10 minutes’ walk). The National Army Museum is 10 minutes away - great for older kids to learn about history and for toddlers to explore soft play sessions. What’s more, the famous museums of South Kensington - the Natural History Museum, Science Museum and V&A - are also within walking distance (around 20 minutes on foot).

Style Notes

Elegant apartment. A tranquil escape from Chelsea’s lively streets, this residence soothes with a neutral color palette, large windows and chic period details. The jewel in the crown of this beautiful apartment is a magnificent, decked rooftop terrace. Enjoy al fresco meals on the wooden dining furniture or sink into one of the comfortable sun loungers on sunny evenings. We love the stainless steel kitchen, adding an industrial touch to the otherwise elegant styling, as well as the gorgeous standalone bathtub and the traditional fireplace storage.

Kensington & Chelsea, London

Hyde Park, Harrods and Her Majesty

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has a certain cachet. It’s where you’ll find Buckingham Palace, Sloane Square, the King’s Road, Harrods and many of the most upmarket stores and areas of the city. For kids, Hyde Park is a must-do, whether you go boating on the Serpentine on summer or enjoy the kid-friendly cafés around it. It’s a central area very well connected with the rest of the city by bus and Tube.
