Perks for the Parents

A spacious and luxurious apartment within a traditional Georgian mansion, just steps away from Sloane Square in Chelsea. It sleeps 4. Despite the central location, this welcoming home offers all the comforts you need for a vacation, from a fully equipped kitchen to comfy furnishings. Explore the restaurants of Sloane Square, browse the iconic Peter Jones department store or marvel at the spectacular architecture of Belgravia and beyond - this is the ultimate central city spot for London visitors.

Why Kids Love it

This apartment doesn’t have toys or books for kids, but it’s a great location for families who want to explore the city. Jump on the tube to visit the museums in South Kensington (a 10-minute journey): the V&A, the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum. It’s also just 10 minutes from Hyde Park, where kids can explore playgrounds, horseback riding and open water swimming. Take younger kids and toddlers to the National Army Museum (10 minutes’ walk) which runs fantastic indoor soft play sessions or to run around in the open play areas of the Saatchi Gallery (3 minutes’ walk).

Things to Know

This home is on the lower ground floor. The beds in the second bedroom can be set up either as twin beds or zipped together as a super king, please let the reservations team know before you book. This home doesn't have air conditioning. Between June and September, we'll place fans in each bedroom. Please let us know if you'd like fans outside the summer period. The ensuite in the second bedroom doesn't have a door. There are stairs to the entrance of this home and no elevator.

About the Location

The house is located just off Sloane Square, in Chelsea. Everything you’ll need is on your doorstep, from shops and restaurants to public transport and museums. Visit the exclusive stores of Sloane Street, wandering up to Knightsbridge, or head down Kings Road for a more fun and vibrant shopping experience. It’s just around the corner from the Saatchi gallery and both Harrods and Harvey Nichols are within a 15-minute walk. The closest tube station is Sloane Square (literally steps away) and it’s also within walking distance of Victoria station. Heathrow airport is less than 1 hour away by car or train.

Accommodation Details

The residence has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, on the lower ground floor. You’ll be welcomed by an open-plan living/dining space with beautifully high ceilings. This leads to a kitchen, finished with granite countertops. The second bedroom can be arranged as 2 twins or 1 double - please let the host know your preference before arrival. The primary bedroom has a kingsize bed. Choose from a walk-in shower or the roll-top bathtub in the 2 ensuite bathrooms (one of the ensuite bathrooms does not have a door to separate it from the bedroom). Please note this home doesn't have air conditioning. Between June and September, fans are available for each bedroom.

Style Notes

Eclectic and worldly. The hosts have chosen a fusion of London chic decor and African inspiration, with stories hidden in every piece of furniture. The dining room table has had an exotic life - it’s traveled from New York to Africa and back to London. We love the plush mix of textiles and patterns in the living room, the traditional shaker-style kitchen and the historic architectural features, such as original windows and shutters.

Kensington & Chelsea, London

Hyde Park, Harrods and Her Majesty

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has a certain cachet. It’s where you’ll find Buckingham Palace, Sloane Square, the King’s Road, Harrods and many of the most upmarket stores and areas of the city. For kids, Hyde Park is a must-do, whether you go boating on the Serpentine on summer or enjoy the kid-friendly cafés around it. It’s a central area very well connected with the rest of the city by bus and Tube.
