Perks for the Parents
Stay in the heart of Knightsbridge at this grand townhouse, filled with period features and luxurious family-friendly features. It sleeps 11. You couldn’t hope for a more beautiful home in the city, but the location is also a big draw here: it’s just footsteps from Hyde Park, Sloane Square and some of the city’s best shops and restaurants. If you’re happy to cook at home with the family, you can choose from 2 eat-in kitchens or the more formal dining room. If you’re in the city to experience the global cuisine, there are endless delis, cafes and restaurants on your doorstep.
Why Kids Love it
There’s a dedicated basement play room for kids, with a table tennis table, cozy sofa, and matted flooring for younger ones to crawl around. A few of the bedrooms are ideal for kids too, with playful decor and a small selection of toys or books to make them feel at home. It’s just 5 minutes’ walk to Hyde Park, where kids can try horseback riding, open water swimming in summer, ice skating in winter or enjoy the plentiful play spaces in this huge green park (don’t miss the Princess Diana Memorial Playground on the west side).
Things to Know
No pets, parties or smoking. The lead guest must be at least 25 years old. All guests will receive a rental agreement prior to their stay which you are required to sign and submit. Car rental is not necessary in this central area and parking can be difficult around Knightsbridge. A travel crib may be provided on request for an additional fee. The nearest tube station is Knightsbridge (7 minutes) and it’s 10 minutes by car to Victoria train station.

Style Notes
Classical townhouse. This traditional London home is drenched in charming interior features - from the peachy pink dining room and elegant dining room to the pretty patterned wallpaper and delicate chandeliers - yet the house doesn’t feel fussy and still has a welcoming atmosphere for families. Traditional patterned rugs, wall hangings and antique furniture complement the historical architectural features of the house, such as high ceilings and intricate cornicing, while contemporary juxtapositions include the seamless integrated kitchen, modern artwork and new bathrooms. We love the spectacular dining room wall mural, the unique corner fish tank in the kitchen and the tempting clawfoot bathtub in the primary ensuite bathroom.

Knightsbridge, London
Harrods, Hyde Park and the Household Cavalry
Known for its high end shopping streets, Knightsbridge is also great for kids, with Hyde Park a stone’s throw away and plenty of excellent playgrounds and cafes to discover. If you’re in the area at 10.30am daily, look out for the household cavalry galloping towards Buckingham Palace for the changing of the guard ceremony. Toy Kingdom in Harrods is another must-see, as are Kensington’s many world-class museums; on a Sunday, you can join a mass family rollerskate group at Hyde Park Corner.
