Perks for the Parents

This classic, spacious Paris apartment with a view of the Eiffel Tower and a location in the heart of the city, is ideal for families with young children. Well set up for a family stay, it has a bright and spacious children's bedroom, as well as a master bedroom and living area with a view of the Eiffel Tower. There is an additional bedroom with a BoConcept pull out sofa bed, which can alternately be used as an office. The apartment has a family bathroom with shower and bath for the kids, including a baby bath tub. There is an organic grocery store across the street, as well as an outdoor market just around the corner each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday where you can find fresh local produce, meats, fish and cheese.

Why Kids Love it

The children's bedroom is bright, open, colorful and very spacious, and is a great play area, well stocked with many books and toys. It has an Oeuf Classic modular bed that can be used as a crib or bed for a child up to 7 years old, as well as Bloom Alma mini urban crib, suitable for children up to 12 months and beyond, depending on the child's size. A fully equipped kitchen includes children's dinner ware and bibs, a double Beaba baby cook machine (a steamer-cooker-blender), Beaba storage containers, and 2 Stokke high chairs. You will have the use of a MacClaren foldable stroller, as well as the possibility to use a Bugaboo stroller upon request. The apartment is right across the street from the southern part of Luxembourg Gardens, where kids can enjoy one of Paris' most famous carousels, pony rides, sailing boats on the small lake in front of the Senate building, puppet shows, and a wonderful, large play area for all ages.

Things to Know

Minimum stay depends on season and is typically 4-7 days. For more than 4 guests, an additional fee of $25 per person per night is added. The apartment is safe and secure on the fourth floor of an elevator building with locked access from street level. Children must be supervised around the balconies and should never be left unattended with windows open. The closest parking garage is a 10-minute walk away, and street parking is available during the day just across from the building. No pets please. The apartment is cleaned once a week, and babysitting services are available upon request. WiFi, TV and Apple TV (using a video projector) and a washing machine are included.

About the Location

Centrally located, the apartment is literally steps from the southern edge of the Luxembourg Gardens, and within walking distance of Saint Germain des Près, the Latin Quarter, Notre Dame, the Pantheon, and Montparnasse. The apartment is on the RER line B, which runs to both Orly and Charles de Gaulle airports. Car hire is not essential with good transport links nearby. It is 20 minutes from the Gare du Nord for Eurostar and 45 minutes from Charles de Gaulle airport by car.

Accommodation Details

This 3 bedroom apartment has a master bedroom with queensize bed, a children's bedroom for a baby and child up to age 7, and an additional bedroom/office that sleeps 2 on a sofa bed. The bathroom has a full bathtub and shower and the fully equipped compact kitchen includes a Nespresso coffee machine. The living room has a sectional sofa and a dining table for up to 6. There are 3 balconies with views of the city.

Style Notes

Bright and light with modern design throughout. The apartment is in a beautiful Haussmannian building, with lots of natural sunlight and original hardwood floors. It is tastefully furnished and decorated, including unique pieces from the owners’ time spent in different corners of the world. There are views stretching from the Eiffel Tower to Sacre Coeur from the fourth floor balcony. We love the parquet flooring, the high ceilings and the street art by Thierry Noir, c215, Swoon and Shepard Fairey.

We had a great time in Paris at the Georges Bernanos Residence!! Kids loved playing with the toys and books and we borrowed a buggy as well. Host was super lovely and available if we needed anything. Apartment is beautiful and the location is superb. Would definitely recommend it to any family visiting Paris with little ones.

Great apartment! The location can't be beat, as there is an RER stop just outside the door, and the Jardin du Luxemburg is across the street. And there is a view of the Eiffel Tower!

Latin Quarter, The 5th arrondissement

Art, history and culture

This historic heart of Paris, the Latin Quarter on the left bank of the Seine is full of lively bistros and restaurants, ancient buildings and intellectual students. Take the kids to the Musée de Cluny, an art collection housed in a 15th century mansion, to the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle to marvel at tiny taxidermied beetles, and to the famous Shakespeare and Company second hand book shop for children’s hour, involving music, rhythm and stories for kids aged 2-6.
