This superb 2-3 bedroom apartment is steps from food markets and key Paris monuments, and is decorated in divine colors with beautiful bohemian details. The bright and sunny kitchen is fully equipped with essentials and includes a 1920s glass chandelier; the salon or lounge has a Moroccan rug and original detailing, and bedrooms are comfortable and quiet.

Why Kids Love it

With 2 bedrooms plus a lounge with sofa bed, there is space to sleep 2 adults plus up to 4 children. The apartment is 2 blocks from the Louvre, the Seine, the Places des Victories, and the Palais Royal, making sightseeing with the kids a breeze. There are parks and playgrounds a short walk away, including the new playgrounds in front of Ste Eustache.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 4 nights. The apartment is on the second floor of a 19th century building with an elevator. The space is child safe. It was featured on national television on HGTV's House Hunters International and has been in Vogue magazine. There is no outdoor space, but the flat is a short walk from the Tuilleries Gardens, the Palais Royal, and the new playgrounds in front of Ste Eustache. Car rental is not essential with great transport links nearby. There is plenty within walking distance.

About the Location

The apartment is in the Louvre area of the 1st arrondissement of Paris, walking distance from Jardin Nelson Mandela, which has a playground, the Palais Royal gardens and the Tuileries Gardens. There are multiple attractions nearby, from the Louvre to the Champs Elysées. Etienne Marcel and Les Halles are the closest metro stations, a couple of blocks away. The property is 45 minutes from Charles de Gaulle airport and 10 minutes from the Gare du Nord for Eurostar.

Accommodation Details

The apartment has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a spacious kitchen with a high chair, a computer desk and a salon that easily converts into a private third bedroom as needed. Both bedrooms have comfortable kingsize beds and the salon has a large double sofa bed to sleep up to 2 guests. A crib fits into the larger bedroom or the salon. One bathroom has a rainshower and bath while the other has a shower.

Style Notes

Boho Parisian. With an eclectic flavour, this apartment has more than typical Parisian style. From the parquet floor to the ceiling mouldings, there are traces of classic Paris rubbing shoulders with modern lithographs, antique kilims, Danish lighting, flea market finds and 1980s prints. The bohemian air is unmistakeable, welcoming and unique. We love the plum purple sofa bed and the duck egg blue kitchen units.
