Style Notes
Elegant estate. The house has been renovated and decorated by the son of an art dealer and a high-end construction professional who also grew up in the house, together with his interior-designed obsessed wife. They have been lovingly maintaining this comfortable and beautiful home for their own family gatherings, following on from a restoration by their in-laws in the 1990s (when it was also featured in Architectural Digest). Eclectic and thoughtful, it contains a mix of modern and antique decor, with the hosts maintaining as many of the original details as possible whilst updating it for the needs of modern families. The family are extensive travelers and love bringing artifacts back from their trips to adorn the house. They also collect art and have been lucky to have acquired or been gifted several wonderful works over the years. We love the ornate ceiling in the living area, the grand central stairwell and the charming windows in the kitchen.
