Accommodation Details

This 2-bedroom, 1-floor apartment has an open plan kitchen, dining and living room with a glass half-wall separating the kitchen and hall. The kitchen has an attached small laundry and store room. One bedroom has a kingsize bed and a children’s bed next to it, while the other has 2 single beds and a small ensuite bathroom. The master bathroom has a bathtub. There is access to a communal courtyard garden, viewable from the living space.

Style Notes

Modern Nordic. This Spanish apartment borrows tones and materials from northern Europe, with wooden flooring, rattan lampshades and white walls, plus a few antique pieces mixed in. One of the bedrooms is decorated for children with dragon-themed wallpaper. The living room is bright with some direct sun in the afternoon; it doesn't get too hot in summer. We love the soothing style, the fantastic location and the fun kids spaces.

We are a family of three people and a dog. Carlota our 4 years old daughter, Cristina and Homero. Our she-dog Aurora lives and usually travels with us. We love traveling and some of our favorite destinations are Thailand, Portugal, USA, Japan, France and Italy. Carlota enjoys dressing up, having someone read stories for her, cutting paper, drawing, coloring, playing with dolls, etc... We joined Kid & Coe because we were renting our home through Airbnb and thought that bringing up Carlota allows us to best cater for families as guests and we also expect family guests to be very respectful with our home. Also, we were not renting Carlota's bedroom as we didn't like the idea of an adult sleep in her bed, but we are happy that other children do.

Madrid, Spain

The capital of Spain

From picking up new tastes in tapas bars to zooming down waterslides at great speed, Spain’s capital city is great for families. While the elegant architecture and fine art galleries draw older visitors, younger children will enjoy the Casa do Campo more - a park with a zoo, aquarium and large amusement park within it. On a hot day, take a boat on the lake at Retiro Park or head out of the city to the Aquópolis water park; on a rainy day, meet the dinosaurs at the Natural Science Museum or see stars at the Planetarium.
