This penthouse apartment in central Vienna is light, bright and airy and suits a family of 2 adults and up to 2 children (plus 1 baby). It’s a grand and classic place to stay in a 19th century Viennese building in the Art Nouveau 6th district of the city and is a fantastic location for those with small children. It’s walking distance from the Museum Quarter, shopping areas and parks and playgrounds and the apartment is well set up with a crib, high chair and baby toys. If you love Art Nouveau architecture, it’s just around the corner from Majolika Haus; what’s more, it’s a calm, easy going place to stay in the city as a family.

We had a wonderful stay at The Gumpendorfer Residence! Everything was perfect! Irene was really kind and gave us great tips. We are very greatful. The house is very close to the center (we walked most of the time) and has everything you need nearby. It helped a lot to make our vacations even better! It's a place to go back for sure!

We had a delightful visit to Vienna, and we absolutely loved staying in this apartment. It exceeded our expectations! The location was fantastic. The apartment was spacious and well appointed. Irene made us feel so welcome and they even let us drop off our bags at 8am!! We literally walked everywhere from the apartment, and we have children who are 6 & 8 years old. There is great shopping and dining nearby. The market is practically next door, the underground is very close, and Cafe Sperl was such a treasure at breakfast time. We hope to go again, and we would love to stay here if possible!

Mariahilf, Vienna

Classic, cultural and central

The 6th district of Vienna is one of its most classical and central, with soaring Art Deco buildings and the opportunity to walk in the footsteps of former residents Beethoven and Haydn. It includes the city’s most important shopping street, parks and playgrounds and is walking distance from the Museum Quarter.
