Perks for the Parents

This long-stay, luxe surf-themed condominium is super baby / toddler-friendly with access to a playground, multiple heated pools, kid-friendly facilities and restaurants. It sleeps up to 8 + 1. The open plan layout means you’ll always be in sight of your kids. If you need to work while you’re staying, there is a desk with stunning views northwards of Santa Monica and Century City. The hosts want to make your arrival as easy as possible so will provide food and drink on arrival for parents and kids, as well as diapers if you need them. A babysitter is available so you can try some of the restaurants and bars within a 10-minute walk. There is free gym, tennis, swimming and yoga onsite.

Why Kids Love it

The hosts used to live here with their baby son so you’ll find everything you need for an infant or toddler including cabinet locks, baby gates, a playmat, high chair, toys, crib, changing table, baby bath, even diapers. There is a small, uncrowded beach nearby (Mother's Beach) with a large children's playground as well as rental facilities for kayaks and paddleboards. Across the street is a grassy area and walking path where parents stroll with their babies. For older kids, the place comes with boogie boards and beach towels to make the most of the surf at the nearby Santa Monica beach.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 20 nights, but please enquire for specials. The building is secure with 24-hour security at the gate and around the complex. Style Notes

Luxe, surfing chic. The host, Erik, grew up surfing and skating in SoCal and he has mounted some of his old surf- and skateboards for a fun vibe. The result is a beachy yet uncluttered atmosphere with plenty of space to spread out and spend family time together. The furniture is all recently purchased with new mattresses and linens and there are warm touches such as the coffee mugs from local museums and places of interest. We love all the amenities onsite, the proximity to the beach and the sparklingly clean contemporary interior.

My condo was my main home, where I lived for several years with my family. Now I'm happy to offer it to guests, so you can enjoy the amenities of the marina and west Los Angeles, as we did for so many years.

Marina del Rey, Los Angeles

Safe beaches and shiny yachts

Just inland from Venice Beach, Marina del Rey is one of the city’s ultra desirable near-beachfront suburbs, and is great for kids. Splash in the calm, shallow waters of Mother’s Beach, marvel at the shiny yachts and pick up a picnic at the local farmers’ market to eat in one of the many local parks.
