Perks for the Parents

At the heart of Les Trois Vallées, this authentic chalet in Méribel is on a sought-after road and offers ski in / ski out 100 feet away. Nestled in pine trees, this family chalet offers you privacy, amazing proximity to slopes and lifts, ski school, shops and restaurants. It is well set up for 1 or 2 families to enjoy a unique ski vacation, with kids' programs available nearby. There are amazing views. It is a quiet location.

Why Kids Love it

Children will love to play outside in the snow, ski and snowboard, and also enjoy the cozy living room with its roaring fire and a mug of hot chocolate. The chalet provides children's books in French and lots of space so everyone can have some privacy. Programs for 18-month olds and older are offered at Halte Garderie ‘Les Saturnins’ within the Olympic Park (from the 1992 Winter Olympics) by multi-lingual staff.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 7 days. Note that there are no baby items provided (but plenty of space for a travel crib if you bring one) and that there are no stair gates. There is a Tripp Trapp Stokke high chair provided. Linen is provided along with cleaning at the end of the stay. Car hire is not required in Méribel itself. The chalet has been in the same family for 3 generations and is much loved.

About the Location

The property is in the heart of Les Trois Vallées, the most extensive ski area in the world, on the secluded Route des Chalets in Méribel. It is one of a few ski resorts that has kept its original alpine architecture. There is a free shuttle service up and down the mountain a few minutes’ walk from the chalet. Méribel is easily accessible from Geneva by car and shuttle buses. Geneva airport is a 2-hour drive away.

Accommodation Details

This 5-bedroom chalet has a main floor with a large living/dining room with a fireplace, a south-facing deck, a kitchen, powder room and a bedroom with a bunk bed. The second floor has 2 large bedrooms with queensize beds, 1 small bedroom with twin beds, and a bathroom. The lower level includes 1 bedroom sleeping 3 (including a bunk), a bathroom, and a ski storage room with direct access to the outdoors. The property is ski-in, ski-out with slopes 100m away.

Style Notes

Bright, light alpine style. The interior was designed in the late 1950s and updated in the last 2 years; the chalet remains true to its origins with all of today's comforts, including a Nespresso machine in the kitchen. Walls have exposed brickwork, there is plenty of pine from the floorboards to the windows and bunk beds, and there is a cozy sitting room with a fire. We love the red and white check duvet covers and the views from the balcony over Méribel.

We are only 3 but love to travel in style. I am Canadian and my husband is French; our son has dual citizenship and is aged 13. We own modernist design boutiques for baby and kids and have been familiar with Kid and Coe since it's inception and are excited to now be members!
