Montmartre, The 18th arrondissement

Views from the hill

This village on a hill topped by the Sacre Coeur in central Paris is one of its most famous, romantic and beautiful spots. With the neon strip of Pigalle and the Moulin Rouge at its feet, this district’s cobblestoned streets wind up to the top via mansions, apartments with dazzling views and pretty neighborhood bistros. The funicular or white train are a life saver with kids - these streets are rather steep for little legs.
