This large contemporary apartment, steps from the Luxembourg Gardens, sleeps up to 6 and has a large back garden to explore. Created by a prominent French artist, it is full of stunning sculptures – check out the Great Dane patrolling the shrubbery – and a large art collection. We love the lounge with its shimmering walls and eclectic furniture, the array of scatter cushions in the kid’s room, and the wall-to-wall windows in the master bedroom. As well as the usual family spaces, there is a large hammam (steam room) and an apartment-wide sound system and high-tech cinema screen, ideal for a movie night in (we’d recommend Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris). The apartment is on the left bank, close to local brasseries and cafés with metro and bus services just steps away.

What we love

  • Central location plus an enclosed 2,000 square feet back garden with a decking area, swing, lawn and bushes for the kids to explore
  • Chic kitchen with a dining table for 10
  • Kid’s room with double sofa bed that can split into 2 single sofa beds
  • Master bedroom with kingsize bed, ensuite bathroom, hammam and terrace access
  • Second bedroom with a queensize bed and private terrace access
  • Bathroom with tub, plus separate WC

Great stay at the Luxembourg Gardens apartment. The location was fantastic. Close to multiple metro stops, walking distance to Luxembourg Gardens of course, great restaurants in St. Germain de Pres. We loved having an outdoor garden space and even managed to cook dinner in our first night and eat on the patio. Delightful!

We had a wonderful stay! The apartment was so impeccably designed and very spacious, and the outdoor area was a true oasis. Our kids loved petting the dog and sitting on the swing. As 4 adults and 2 toddlers, we were able to spread out with plenty of privacy, and the access was stellar with the metro outside the door, plenty of shops and restaurants, and of course, Luxembourg Gardens around the corner. Thank you for a fabulous stay!

We just loved our stay at this beautiful home. The location couldn't be better with two Metro stops within a few minutes walk and several spots for groceries and pastries close by, too. We have an 8 month old who loved rolling around on the low cushions in the living room and waving to herself in the mirrors that were a common feature of the home. We had 5 adults and one baby in our party and were wonderfully comfortable in this home. Thank you so much for a perfect home base in Paris!

We recently stayed at the Luxembourg residence in the Montparnasse neighborhood of Paris and loved it! It is very close to the Luxembourg gardens(my kids favorite) with a great playground, gardens and a pond to sail toy boats! The apartment has lots of toys for the kids and a backyard to play in. The neighborhood has restaurants, shopping, and the metro right outside the door. I highly recommend staying here if visiting Paris!

This is a lovely apartment in a great location of Paris, very close to Luxembourg Gardens and with great shops and restaurants around. It is a very unique and artsy apartment. The garden is a special plus for kids, it was nice to have some outdoor space to run around. The child's room is well equipped with toys and games, and with two beds is perfect for littles to share.

My family of 6 really enjoyed our stay here. You are so close to Luxembourg Gardens and every day we would break up the site seeing by going to the playground, carousel and pond to sail toy boats. The apartment has a very large and beautiful garden that we enjoyed so much (and a swing!). The house really maximizes the space and has cool/modern art. Overall would highly recommend place for families! The owner answered many emails and questions without any hesitation. Always a plus!

Montparnasse, The 6th arrondissement

Art, fashion and underground adventures

This famous Left Bank district has a fabled artistic heritage. Today it’s a playground for adults and kids alike and is well located for exploring the city. The Montparnasse Tower and 56th floor viewing deck is a great alternative to standing in line at the Eiffel Tower and has spectacular views; Gare Montparnasse has an unexpected 3.5 hectares of gardens on its roof and the feel is quintessentially Parisian.
