About the Location

The residence is a 5-minute walk from St George Beach on the island of Naxos. Naxos is an island in the Cyclades group, voted by the Guardian for having one of the best family beaches in Europe. The center of town is just 5 minutes’ walk away and the airport is a 5-minute drive away. Naxos can be reached by direct flight from Athens or by ferry from Athens’ Piraeus harbor.

Accommodation Details

This 5-bedroom villa has a 4000 sq m garden and 2 guest houses. The main villa has a modern open plan living/dining/kitchen space, 4 double bedrooms and 1 children’s bedroom with 2 twin beds. Every bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with bathtub or shower; there are sofa beds on each level also. The guest houses each have 1 bedroom, an ensuite bathroom and a kitchen or kitchenette. There is a large garden with sitting and lounging spots, surrounded by olive trees, cypresses, lavender, bougainvillea and jasmine.

Style Notes

Contemporary Cyclades. The entire complex was constructed following the delicate lines of traditional Cycladic architecture, with local stone and white curves. White is the dominant color; the attention to detail in the handmade landscaped outdoor areas, arches of the doors, wooden ceilings, pebbled floors, aged oak floors, and polished cement floors showcase the skills of local craftsmen. We love the unique pool, the welcoming contemporary living space and the spacious bedrooms.

We had a fantastic time in this beautiful villa, together with our friends and their families. Maria is a brilliant host, who made us feel very welcome and gave us lots of useful local insights to the area. The pool was a real hit with the kids and there is lots to do, see and eat in Naxos! Would highly recommend.

Pros: Very spacious, very clean, close to town and close to the most lovely beaches of Naxos. Our party of 9 kids especially enjoyed the downstairs area of bedrooms, the bicycles and scooters, the huge outside area/garden with its many hiding places, the pool with its little island and bridge and the inflattable pool toys. We adults were all grateful for the host’s recommendations for places to visit and eat. Cons: The downstairs area had a persistent smell that never really went away (possibly the drains). One of the kingsize bedrooms had a bathroom that used to be a balcony; as a result, one of the bathroom’s walls was entirely made of glass, which made for uncomfortable showers/bathroom runs at night (no privacy). Last but not least: Very happy with David from Kid&Coe! He has been very helpful throughout the entire process of booking, paying and staying. Thank you!

We had an amazing trip in Naxos. Maria was the world's best hostess; she brought ice creams for the kids and gave us a wonderful map with top restaurant recommendations on where to eat and the best beaches to visit. She even took my mother to church to experience the local culture. The kids loved all the pool floats and the pool with the little 'castle' in the middle. Only feedback would be to request the daily housekeeping as there are multiple kitchens and the dishwasher is quite small in the main floor of the house. It's a big house with lots of living space and that made our trip a lot more pleasant with such a large group ( 6 kids, 2 grandmothers, and two couples). We loved Naxos also- felt like really good value in the restaurants compared to other parts of Europe.
