Perks for the Parents

This spacious property right on the water comes with kayaks and paddleboards and is just steps from the beach. It sleeps up to 10 and suits a large family or group of 2 families traveling together. The area lends itself well to a family stay, with beautiful beaches and a playground nearby, along with shops and restaurants in Southold and Greenport. There are many opportunities for swimming, hiking, fishing, sailing, surfing, and golfing close by. Cycle or take a summer stroll on the quiet local streets by day, then gather for barbecues on the large deck as evening comes. There is an outdoor shower, ideal after a day at the beach. Included: WiFi, computer, DVD/CD player, cable TV, beach chairs, bath and beach towels. There is a washer/dryer and a cleaning service is available on request.

Why Kids Love it

There is a bay beach just down the street that is ideal for little ones - waves are small and unintimidating for young children. The water is blue and clear and the depth is 1-3 feet 50' out, plus there is a lifeguard on duty. For older kids, watersports opportunities abound; the apartment comes with a tandem kayak, single kayak, 2 paddleboards and a beach wagon. There are lots of toys and games provided along with bicycles with a baby seat by prior request. There are 2 bedrooms ideal for kids, one with 2 twin beds and the other a bunkroom with 2 twin beds and 2 double beds. There is a local art and cooking camp for kids with Ellen Goldstein - ask the host for further details. A concierge service can help with babysitting and can arrange delivery of delicious farm-fresh doughnuts.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 14 days. Rates shown are based on no more than 8-10 people staying at the property. Please contact the host for accurate pricing for more than 10 guests. As the property is directly on the water, young children will require constant supervision - the deck has a wooden wall around it but it can be climbed. No children under 12 should be left unattended on it. There is garage parking. No smoking, not wheelchair accessible. Concierge services available upon request include a local organic weekly vegetable basket, local wine delivery from select vineyards, vineyard tours with lunch, fresh homemade farm doughnuts, stocked groceries, fresh local flowers in every room, in home chefs, massage services, babysitting and boat rentals. Please note that a 3% short term rental hotel tax will be added on top of the cost of the accommodation when a booking is accepted.

About the Location

The property is on the water in New Suffolk, North Fork, approximately 4 minutes drive from Cutchogue. It is a beautiful destination with sensational views: watch sailboat races, launch kayaks or paddleboards right from the dock, and see some of Long Island’s most beautiful estuaries full of wildlife. There are 2 restaurants and a bar just a short walk away plus a home furnishings, gift and clothing boutique down the street. Live music takes place in Village Green 2 blocks from home on Sundays. Cedars Golf Course is 5 minutes away. It takes around 2 hours to drive here from New York City. Car rental useful; there is indoor garage parking.

Style Notes

Clean, nautical design. The concept for this newly-built home is the feeling that you are aboard a boat, with 180-degree views of Peconic Bay at Cutchogue Harbor. Every room is designed with custom built-in hardwood furniture and luxury hotel linens and towels. The fully equipped chef’s kitchen has quartz counters; beds have Casper memory foam mattresses and the living area has an L-shaped couch for family lounging. We love the location, the super-sleek chef's kitchen and the captivating water views.

Amazing house right on the water. Stocked with stuff for the kids (paddle board-brand new, kayaks, beach chairs, bikes). Grill was awesome and outdoor shower was the best...Walk to beach amazing...floor plan is a bit wonky but manageable we had 4 kids 16, 14, 12 and 5 plus my parents. Overall A+ experience host met us upon arrival all good.

New Suffolk, North Fork

Bay views and fantastic food

Right on the Peconic Bay with sweeping views of the Cutchogue Harbor, New Suffolk is a charming North Fork town where all the area’s classic attractions come together. A short drive away, wineries offer lunch and tasting sessions while close by, boat rental stands allow you to explore the bay and beyond. Calm sandy beaches are great for young children and local bistros, farm produce stands and fine dining options mean that you are spoilt for choice with food.
