This stunning and spacious family home just outside Newport, Rhode Island comes with its own indoor pool, just steps from the beach. It sleeps 14 + 1. Relax at this large family home, where 4 of the 6 bedrooms have direct ocean views. Parents and kids alike will love the indoor pool - perfect for year-round vacations - and adults can truly relax in the ensuite jacuzzi bath which has a port-hole window with sea views. This large residence is also great for multi-generational trips or parents traveling with a nanny - there is a separate guest suite with elevator access (wheelchair accessible or ideal for older guests who are less mobile).

Why Kids Love it

This house is a great destination for families, with everything made easy for those traveling with kids. The private pool is right within the house and features an entry shelf that is 3 feet by 6 feet wide and just 6 inches deep - perfect for little ones to splash around. It’s just a 20-second walk to the beach and sand toys are available to take along with you. For chill-out days, streaming services and a DVD player are available, as are toys, art supplies, yard games and the fantastic swingset in the backyard. Bikes for children ages 4-10 (and 2 bikes for adults) make excursions around the neighborhood quick and fun. Parents with babies or toddlers will be happy to find a crib, a high chair and a booster seat to make meals and nap times easy too.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 nights; 7 nights in peak season (July & August) with bookings accepted from Friday to Friday or Saturday to Saturday. Safety notes: the pool is in a separate room so it’s easy to keep kids safely away from this area. Life jackets are provided for the pool. There are a number of stairs throughout the house; 1 of the bedrooms has elevator access. Outside in the backyard, there’s an outdoor shower for after the beach and a grill. Pets are welcome on request (so it may not be suitable for those with allergies). The house comes with air conditioning, dishwasher, washer/dryer, cable TV, DVD player and WiFi. The hosts have bikes for children ages 4-10 and 2 bikes for adults. Parking is available for 6 cars although car rental is not strictly essential.

About the Location

This residence is located on the beach in a small, quiet community outside Newport, Rhode Island. Newport town is just 5 minutes’ drive for going out to seafood restaurants, shops, museums and other amenities. Visit Cliff Walk promenade (2 minutes’ drive), the International Tennis Hall of Fame (5 minutes’ drive), Newport Mansions or some of the many wineries and breweries. It’s within walking distance of Atlantic Beach (1 minute), Easton Beach (15 minutes) or Surfer’s End (18 minutes). It’s just 5 minutes’ drive to Newport Harbor for the ferry terminal or boat cruises. T.F.Green regional airport is just 40 minutes’ drive; both Boston Logan and Bradley international airports are around 2 hours away.

Accommodation Details

This residence has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, set over 3 floors. On the top floor: 2 bedrooms (1 with a queen plus a trundle twin bed and an additional twin bed, the other with 4 twin beds), plus a full hall bathroom. On the second floor: a primary bedroom with a queensize bed, ocean views, a walk-in closet and an ensuite bathroom with jacuzzi tub and separate steam shower. This floor also has 2 further bedrooms (1 with a queensize bed, another with 2 twin beds) and a full hall bathroom. Above the pool is a guest suite with a kingsize bed, ocean views and elevator for wheelchair accessibility. This room has a kingsize bed, walk-in closets, a queensize pull-out sofabed, ensuite bathroom, a baby crib and a Peloton spin bike. The first floor features a large kitchen with center island for breakfast, a dining room, living room, and a den.

Style Notes

Contemporary coastal. The house has been furnished and decorated by a professional designer in relaxing gray, blue and white tones with splashes of color in the bedrooms. The first floor has been renovated with new furniture and flooring, and features an expanded beautiful ocean view from the main living and kitchen areas to add a sense of tranquility. All the furniture, drapery and décor at the home has been picked by designers to be comfortable, kid friendly and welcoming. We love the large rustic wood dining table, the relaxing window seat in the main entrance and the beautiful traditional fireplaces.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
