North York, Toronto

Astronauts, pioneers and rose gardens

Directly north of Old Toronto, this district of the city includes some of the city’s priciest mansions alongside Little Moscow, Korean Strip and the Persian Section. Visit Black Creek Pioneer Village to experience Toronto in the 1800s, take aspiring astronauts to the Toronto Aerospace Museum and the interactive Ontario Science Centre, and stroll around the Toronto Botanical Gardens for a chance to smell the roses. The area is packed with family-friendly things to do and fantastic ethnic food, even before you hit downtown Toronto itself.
