Perks for the Parents

This beautiful ground-floor apartment is located just steps away from the bustling streets of Portobello in Notting Hill. It sleeps 4. While it may be compact in size, this residence packs in a fully equipped kitchen, full bathroom and tub, plus space for kids on a sofabed (or a baby in a travel crib). Wander the vibrant Notting Hill streets and explore everything from street markets to the exclusive stores and eateries of Westbourne Grove.

Why Kids Love it

The apartment doesn’t come with toys or books for kids, but it works well for parents with babies or smaller families. There’s a city playground 5 minutes away and a skate park less than 10 minutes away on foot. Older kids and teens will love the vibrant street markets along Portobello Road. It’s also a short bus or cab ride to Hyde Park for the huge Princess Diana Memorial Playground.

Things to Know

A travel crib is available on request. Complimentary toiletries are included. Sorry - no pets, no parties and no smoking. Check in: 3pm. Check out: 10am. The apartment is located on the ground floor and there is no elevator. Heathrow airport is less than 1 hour away by car or train.

About the Location

The apartment is located in the heart of Notting Hill, less than 1 minute from the famous Portobello Road. Visit the famous ‘blue door’ from the film ‘Notting Hill’ or stroll the famous Ladbroke Grove streets with their ‘secret’ private gardens. Portobello Road itself is filled with markets, antique shops and delicious bakeries. The nearest subway stations are Ladbroke Grove (5 minutes) or Westbourne Park (7 minutes).

Accommodation Details

This residence has 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. The main living space is equipped with a small dining table, double sofabed and cozy window seat. The open plan layout leads to the kitchen, equipped with a dishwasher and Nespresso machine. The primary bedroom boasts a kingsize bed, TV and closet storage. The beautiful ensuite bathroom has a wet room shower and separate bathtub.

Style Notes

Hotel-style luxury. Recently refurbished, the residence is decorated in soft earthy tones of forest greens and warm neutrals, complemented by natural wooden materials. The clever architectural design allows for natural light to flood in through the bay windows and slanted roof light in the bathroom. We love the terrazzo tiling, the traditional radiators and the elegant brass hardware finishes.

Notting Hill, London

Movie stars, museums and the market

This pretty, arty and desirable area of West London has characterful streets of Georgian and Victorian houses, the vibrant Portobello Market on a Saturday and easy access to the rest the city. Close to Kensington Garden and Palace, it has Gloucester Road’s blockbuster museums on the doorstep, including the V&A, Natural History Museum and Science Museum. And - tell the kids - it’s also the area that Paddington Bear calls home.
