Things to Know

Minimum stay: 7 nights in high season (June-September), 2 nights at other times. Note that the heated pool does not have a gate, and some bedrooms have doors directly on to the pool terrace. Style Notes

Modern Istria. This 5-star villa blends traditional and modern Istrian style to provide a comfortable and relaxing place to stay. Designed for luxury and comfort, the interior makes use of the wonderful gardens with indoor-outdoor living at the fore. Glass doors open to invite you to sunbathe by the pool, prepare market-fresh vegetables in the outdoor kitchen, and take a dip. As well as allowing garden access, these sliding doors run along each wall of the living room to allow sunlight and the Istrian fresh air to fill the house. We love the tranquil location, the space to run and play, and the quirky luxury finishes, including the gramophone player in the lounge.

Novigrad, Croatia

Adriatic allure

This ancient seaside town is close enough to the Slovenian and Italian borders to allow for day trips to Ljubljana and Venice. With vineyards and olive groves surrounding the town, it is known for its natural beauty. Working fishing boats line the picturesque harbor, reeling in the day’s catch to supply local seafood restaurants considered among the best in Istria.
