The games room has billiards, playing cards, table tennis and some board games for grown ups. There are plenty of vacation reads for adults in the library on the second floor landing. Two sets of golf clubs (one men’s and one women’s) are also provided. There are spectacular sunsets over the huge conservation area at the back.

Why Kids Love it

There is a great pool. The games room has fun posters, equipment and games for kids of all ages, plus ping pong, fusbol and pool tables, as well as a wide variety of board games. The kids’ bedrooms are the Animal Kingdom room (inspired by the Disney theme park) and the festive Balloon Room, inspired by hot air balloons that can often be seen from the pool deck and bedroom windows. Kids will also enjoy looking for wildlife in the meadow and forest, which can be seen from the pool deck. Theme parks are a short drive away.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 3 nights. For bookings of 5 nights or less, there is a $85 cleaning charge. For bookings of 6 nights or more, the cleaning charge is waived. There are no stair gates. The pool is gated and is directly accessed from a patio via sliding doors from the lounge. There is a sofa bed in the lounge which can sleep an additional 2 people. The villa backs on to a conservation area of meadows and forests.

About the Location

Located in a residential neighborhood about 15 minutes from the Disney main gate; around 30 minutes to Universal Studios (Harry Potter) and LegoLand. Sea World is about 20 minutes’ drive. A wide variety of restaurants and shopping are also available in the area. The closest airport is Orlando International Airport, a 40-minute drive. Car hire is strongly advised.

Accommodation Details

This 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home has plenty of space for up to 10 people, with a large open lounge/kitchen/dining space downstairs leading to a back yard with pool and jacuzzi. There is a separate dining area with a large table for 8-10. Upstairs there is a compact study space, 2 double bedrooms and 2 twin bedrooms.

Style Notes

Clean, spacious and bright. White walls reflect the light; the spacious living area and dining room are simple and comfortable. Bedrooms are large and have specific themes - one with a beach look, another with a wild animal print space and a twin room for the kids with bright candy colors and hot air balloon pictures. The pool and jacuzzi, plus the views of the conservation area from both, are very appealing.

We are a North Dakota couple living on an organic farm. We bought this house to spend our winters in a warmer climate and rent it to vacationers the rest of the year. The fact that we spend part of our time here means we have furnished it fully and care for it personally. (And, we love it!!) Other than Orlando, we enjoy traveling to the Florida and Mexico beaches (well, beaches anywhere really); South Africa and islands. On our wish list is the Greek Islands. We joined Kid and Coe because the villa is in an ideal location for kid friendly, family holidays, near all the Orlando theme parks. We hope your vacation at Sunset Haven is the best you have ever had together!!

Orlando, Florida

All the fun of the fair

Whether you’re in Orlando to meet Mickey, wield a wand at Harry Potter World, feel sand between your toes and sunshine on your back or scream as you ride water slides in its world-beating water parks, you can be sure you’ll have a sensational vacation here. Central Florida’s Atlantic Coast beaches are gorgeous: white sand, clear water and miles and miles of space to play, while the region’s theme parks and water parks are the best in the world. Find a quiet spot if you can and discover natural springs, where you can swim or kayak, and secluded coves home to manatees and dolphins.
