Style Notes

Contemporary elegance. This newly-renovated house has been updated with modern luxuries, like air conditioning and heated bathroom floors, while maintaining the traditional French style of classic 1900’s properties. The hosts have chosen contemporary furniture and large windows blended with printed wallpapers and splashes of bold color to create a warm and welcoming yet stylish home. Original art and one-off finds from the famous Clignancourt flea market give this house it's unique character, together with its period features such as sloping ceilings and exposed stone wall in the playroom. We love the dark tones adding grandeur to the hallway, the modern fireplace bringing a design element to the living room, and the gorgeous dark cabinetry in the kitchen.

We had a great stay! Nicole is a wonderful host, and her home is breathtaking. The children had a blast, both in the garden and in the house. There were many toys for small children and lots of space to explore safely. The park just outside the house is also beautiful. We highly recommend!
