We live in Los Angeles because we love the ocean, but we also have homes in Palm Springs and Yucca Valley/Joshua Tree because we love the desert. Both are awesome environments for our family (we have two little ones, 6 and 10 years old), and both are listed on Kid & Coe! We look forward to sharing our homes with you and your family.

We had a lovely long weekend in Palm Spring, staying at the North Blando Road residence. Prior to our arrival, David was extremely helpful - sending us recommendations, offering to help with a carseat, and allowing us to have an early check-in to facilitate our toddler's nap. While staying at the house we were extremely comfortable, playing in the pool and exploring the children's toys and books. The house is close to everything in Palm Springs, including the airport, the Tram, and downtown Palm Springs, but it is also quiet and mellow. We lucked into a lovely park only a few blocks away, which was also a hit. All in all, a great place to stay! Thanks to David and Claudia!

There honestly aren't enough words to describe how much our family enjoyed our stay at the Blando Residence. From the beginning, David was super friendly & accommodating, we felt so well taken care of before we even stepped foot in his home. The home itself is amazing in photos, but even more spectacular in real life...very clean, lots of space, the essence of Palm Springs chic! Being a designer, I absolutely loved that it was impeccably designed, while still being super family friendly). My 3.5yr and 5yr old boys lived at the pool the entire time, they loved the library of kids books, and the cute beds in the kid's room. It was also really nice having the 3rd bedroom to put my oldest in a couple times, just to give them separate space when he was struggling to sleep, so not to disturb the youngest. We loved the feeling of being right at home (if only my home was this gorgeous!) with comfy bed, good size kitchen to cook in, taking in the sun & beautiful mountain views while the kids played in the pool, and relaxing in the family room with tv time & wine while the kids were asleep. Thank you so much David for everything, we were very sad to leave (the boys cried when it was time to go), but can't wait to come back!!!

The house was the ideal size for the 5 of us celebrating Mother's Day weekend in Palm Springs. The house is tastefully designed, kid friendly and very comfortable. The owner was very accommodating and answered all of my questions promptly and even made sure we arrived safely at the house. Due to the windy conditions that weekend, we were unable to enjoy many of the amenities outdoors, however, the kids had fun playing in the pool early in the morning before the winds picked up. The location was convenient and the neighborhood felt very safe. We hope to be back soon!

Our family had a wonderful stay at this home. The host, David, was very accommodating and helpful throughout the stay. Palm Springs is a beautiful city with a vast amount of things to do with little kids. We really enjoyed the pool and pool toys as well. Hope to return again someday!!

Palm Springs, California

Dinosaurs, design and the desert

Don't tell everyone, but Palm Springs is a truly great vacation spot for families. Sit in your sunny backyard and take a dip in the pool to cool off; play in neighborhood parks or take to the desert, spotting dinosaur attractions beside the road as you go. It's a great area for hiking if your kids are big enough, and water parks are a must-do, at least once during your stay. Sunnylands in Rancho Mirage has a huge green lawn where kids can play - on Sunday mornings they bring big toys out specially for them! Cultural appeal comes courtesy of the Living Desert and the Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert, plus myriad design, art and architecture museums that are stroller-friendly and great for older kids too.
