Perks for the Parents

Parents can enjoy long, leisurely evenings sitting out on the veranda watching the sun setting over Antiparos, or take in the same beautiful views from the oversized bathtub for two in the master suite. Weekly maid service is included, and the owners stock the house with Korres bath products, filtered drinking water, wine, beer, soda, coffee, tea, fresh fruit, cheese, and bread upon arrival. Firewood is also provided in cooler weather.

Why Kids Love it

Toys and water gear are provided for kids, as well as a high chair and outdoor couches for lounging and playing. The kids have a designated bedroom with children’s beds to call their own and the villa is stocked with essential nursery gear and toys for babies and toddlers.

Things to Know

Toddlers will need supervision as the villa has stone floors, a broad terrace with a short wall and some outdoor stairs are ungated. Car hire is essential if you wish to visit other areas of the island. There are 2 sofa beds in the lounge to accommodate further guests.

About the Location

Located on the island of Paros in the Cyclades, the villa is set on a hillside known locally as Maggano, approximately 5km northeast of the seaside fishing village of Alyki, with sweeping views of grassy fields and the open sea. It is 15 minutes by car from the main town and port of Paros and 4 minutes from the airport. The closest beach is 1.25 miles away and the closest supermarket, restaurant and ice cream parlor are in the village, 1.25 miles away.

Accommodation Details

The villa has a master bedroom with queensize bed and second bedroom with double bed, a children’s room with 2 twin beds, a sunken living room, a fully-equipped kitchen, wraparound terraces with covered seating areas, vast gardens, and a small private vineyard. The master suite bathroom has a giant soaking tub; the other 2 bathrooms have showers.

Style Notes

Built in 2005 by renowned Athenian architect Stefanos Hatzopoulos, the villa was designed as a classic island home with contemporary flair. Light and airy, the home has stone floors and an open floor plan surrounded by wrap-around terraces and tumbling flowers.

We built/renovated and outfitted our homes for our family, and the kids have grown up in them. We also enjoy exploring the rest of the world. Other favorite places include Sardinia and Kauai.
