Style Notes

Modern rustic luxury. The villa, which dates back to the early 1800s, has been painstakingly and lovingly restored to revive old living spaces, with interior items carefully selected, each with its own history and origin. The surroundings are peaceful and aim to help guests forget the frantic pace of daily life. The atmosphere is relaxed. Natural materials including stone and wood are used throughout.

In 2008, I moved to Le Marche to start a family with my husband after running a fast-paced, international arts agency in Riga, Latvia. I had fallen in love with the food, people and stories of Le Marche, but could also indulge my childhood curiosity for nature and the creative process. Here - more than anywhere else - I have found my own creativity in tune with the natural cycles of people, seasons and landscape. I love it here. My favorite travel destinations have been places rich with story and culture like Riga, Reykjavik, Andalusia, and Copenhagen. I like to bring myself to places where I can create something new or interact with a space and it's people - I'm voraciously curious, inquisitively creative. I joined Kid & Coe because I not only fell in love with the concept but as a creative entrepreneur (and mother!) running my own holiday house and agency, am looking to host like-minded families in the beautiful rural villa I manage. Le Marche has provided this beautiful life which I share with 2 curious daughters (6 and 10 years old, Montessori-schooled, of course!) and a wonderfully supportive husband. Come have some tea with us!

Pergola, Le Marche

The classic delights of Italy

Three hours north of Rome and 45 minutes from the Adriatic coast, Pergola is a smart town surrounded by vineyards and full of churches, palazzi and cultural treats. Spend the day at the beach, or explore the local countryside, including a national park with one of the largest caves in the world. Eat local cheeses, bread dipped in freshly-pressed olive oil and relax with a glass of local red.
