Why Kids Love it

The house doesn’t have any toys or books for little kids here, but there’s plenty of space to spread out and play, and they’ll enjoy exploring the backyard and hot tub (with supervision). It’s a 5-minute walk to the local park and a short drive to the beaches along the Atlantic Coast (Public Kite is the closest) where they’ll find water sports and miles of sandy shores. There are also water parks and amusement parks less than half an hour away, or spend a day visiting the world-famous Everglades.

Things to Know

Check-in is any time after 4pm; check-out is any time before 11am. An early check-in or late check-out time may be available, please inquire with the host. There is parking in the driveway for up to 4 cars. Pets are welcome on request for a fee of $150 per pet, regardless of size (maximum size of 25lbs). The residence comes with an iron and ironing board, washer/dryer, 1 pack-n-play crib, free WiFi and Smart TVs for your streaming apps. Toiletries, linens and towels included. No smoking in the unit and no noise after 9pm to respect the neighbors.

About the Location

The property in Pompano Beach, Florida, a city just north of Fort Lauderdale. It’s known for its beaches, marinas and offshore coral reef. North, along the shore, the 1900s Hillsboro Lighthouse guards the Hillsboro Inlet, an entrance to the Intracoastal Waterway. It’s a 9-minute drive to the beach, and just 25 minutes from Fort Lauderdale airport (or 45 minutes from Miami airport).

Accommodation Details

The residence has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, set over 1 floor. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook, including a coffee maker, toaster and dishwasher. There’s a large open plan living space with a smart TV, queensize sofabed and entrance to the dining area with a table for 4. The primary bedroom features a queensize bed and ensuite bathroom, as well as a walk-in closet and TV. The second bedroom features 2 double beds, a closet and TV, while the third bedroom features a full-sized bed, closet and work desk. Outside there’s a large fenced patio, BBQ, hot tub, outdoor games and outdoor dining/seating area.

Style Notes

Coastal bungalow. The hosts have chosen laid-back, relaxed interiors to reflect the easy coastal surroundings, with references to the sand-colored shores and deep blue seas nearby. The all-white kitchen is complemented by botanical greens in the bedroom and hints of blue in the living area, with natural tiled floors creating a neutral backdrop. We love the swirling sea-inspired wallpaper in the living area, the beachy rattan wooden furniture and the tropical rug on the patio.
