Perks for the Parents

This spacious flat in one of the loveliest parts of London is walking distance from Regent’s Park and close to great transport links into central London and its key family attractions. Best for those aged 3 and up, the residence is light-filled and has a shared garden. The Jubilee Line nearby takes you straight to Tate Modern, very popular with families, as well as Borough Market. On Wednesdays there is a little Farmers’ Market at Swiss Cottage, 5 minutes’ walk away.

Why Kids Love it

This family home has plenty of toys and games for children including board games, Kapla, Lego and Playmobil. There is a piano and a drumset, and a table tennis table. There is enough space in the shared garden to play freely. It is a 10-minute walk from Primrose Hill Park, which leads to Regent’s Park and London Zoo. There are 2 bedrooms suitable for children, one with a mezzanine bed (extra cozy and fun for kids), and the other with a single bed.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 nights. The children’s bedroom has a mezzanine bed which is better for older kids (age 6+) and is accessed by a ladder. The owners have 2 lovely cats who they would like to leave in the apartment while renting it and would request guests feed them. The area has residents parking - please consult the host about parking permits. Note limited provision for those with very young children - no crib or high chair provided.

About the Location

The residence is at the top end of Primrose Hill, between Primrose Hill and Belsize Park, a short walk from Swiss Cottage Tube (Jubilee Line) and Chalk Farm (Northern Line). There are playgrounds and lots of little cafés and shops in Primrose Hill and Belsize Park. Hampstead and Hampstead Heath are close by. It is a short bus ride or longish walk to Marylebone High Street, Oxford Street and Regent’s Street. Heathrow airport is an hour away by car; Paddington Station is 14 minutes away.

Accommodation Details

This raised ground floor, 1-story apartment has a living room, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub, the second bedroom has a mezzanine level accessed via a ladder with a bed, and the third bedroom sleeps 1. The family bathroom has a shower. French windows from the kitchen lead to a small balcony with stairs and direct access to the shared back garden.

Style Notes

Bright, modern and colorful. The apartment has high ceilings, white walls and wooden floors throughout bar the bathroom which has light marble tiled flooring. There is a modern look throughout with cozy and colorful elements. The living room has a cream sofa, glass coffee table, round tulip dining table and chairs and there are plenty of art books to browse. There is a yellow 1950s table in the kitchen. We love the elegant proportions and the patterned tiles in the kitchen.

Primrose Hill, London

Cupcakes, celebrities and skyline views

This fashionable area has cupcake bakeries, patisseries and plenty for yummy mummies to do; it’s very convenient for Oxford Street too. Known for its bohemian past, it attracts actors, writers and creative types and their broods. Primrose Hill itself is a great spot for a picnic, walk or city views.
